Here is an adaptation for patrol & escort of the last 500t TB5 (1902).
=> on the identical hull
Engines for TB5 are 8000shp => 25.15kts
Engines for TBE6 are 4000shp => 21.1kts
Half of the boilers are removed & new tanks for coal take their places, range increase to 3800nm (2800nm for TB5)
Draught increase by 20cm for & freeboard decrease by 20cm
3x100 mm guns take the place of the 3x75mm

Question about the République &  Démocratie, I raised the same question with Logi and I think he discovered that my reading of the rules was right, but I cant remember for sure (might want to ask).  I think though you can go Mixed main battery or AQY but I don't think you can do both, so you may have to rework them a bit (ditch the Q turret or drop the 7.64s to 6" and put em in mount and hoist or casemates).

Like I said can't remember how that ruling came out, but I still read the rule the same way.  Other than that very nice ships (YAY for 9' high belts)

...

You'r right , I have to choose between AQY or AY+ intermediate caliber (sup to 7"5).
So, I think that I could have AQY + intermediate 164mm (6"46) - 4 or 6T2x164

This class could be reclassed with Aviso Torpilleur:
Interresting for patrols, escorts & colonial works.

QuoteHere is an adaptation for patrol & escort of the last 500t TB5 (1902).
=> on the identical hull
Engines for TB5 are 8000shp => 25.15kts
Engines for TBE6 are 4000shp => 21.1kts
Half of the boilers are removed & new tanks for coal take their places, range increase to 3800nm (2800nm for TB5)
Draught increase by 20cm & freeboard decrease by 20cm
3x100 mm guns take the place of the 3x75mm
