Not the kind of ship I get very excited over honestly, but if france has a mission for this type, I would say they are very nice little ships.  With my deployment requirements, I personally cant justify what is essentially a one mission ship.  I have to build basically DDs, and use them for missions they weren't exactly intended for.

I like it but it's quite a bit slow.

How much faster can you get the ship if you reduce the beam so that the L:B ratio is 10:00,  drop the seakeeping a bit (1.30 to ~1.21), and remove the 75mm guns?

I agree, see if you can get speed up. Also maybe make the Main Battery mount and hoist?

With L/B ratio 10/1 => speed increase to 22.8kts
23 kts & more could be possible by reduction of misc weight & range.
With mount & hoist : cross sectionnal down to 0.42
