You should have stayed in NS :/

I wish, but Rocket Science is very very very time consuming. Now I barely have time even for NZ!

Actualy had DF stayed as the NS by now there likley wouldnt be a NS, as he has a tendancy to get involved in wars he cant win...

In fact, the USA is a plutocracy disguised as a representative democracy. The only people capable of running for president with a chance of winning are millionaires who can find enough friends to pile on the bucks in order to get elected by the have-nots. This has created a small but very powerful political caste that is slowly turning into a ruling caste dominated by a handful of "dynasties" like the Bushes, Kennedy's and Clintons.

Logi, the problem that Desertfox encountered with me was that he was both trying to outsmart me and relying on a higher quality of hardware. As for the former, even Maddox dares not thread there. As for the latter, there's something to say for quantity. In real life: the Russians in WO II. Stalin just kept piling on the comerades, a lot of them even without guns ! "Take up the gun of the fallen comerade before you..." was actually a standing order. This more or less inspired me to send hundreds of thousands of coolies up to the front and have them absorb the hostilities until his forces were -literally- overrun. A tremendous cost of life, but actually cheaper than producing weapons and ammo. Which Desertfox couldn't get to his troops fast enough by the way, and that lost him the war.
It's logistics. It's all logistics.

I'm interested in where the newly inaugurated President fits into this theory...

Hey you have CHINA...there was no way I could match your quantity. Hence, I had to go for the second best choice. My weak point was diplomacy. The way the war started, I should have had unlimited European support. Weapons, ammo, volunteers, everything I needed should have flowed in. Instead TWO European nations attacked me and two allies betrayed me. That cost me the war. If I had any more diplomatic skills I would now control the entire Pacific.

Thought I don't agree with Tan, NS has fought two major wars against extreme odds and has not been defeated. Plus there's always the balance of power. Nobody really liked NS, but the removal of NS from the Pacific would cause a serious imbalance of power which would not be acceptable to more than a few powers.

Its true though, presidents are usually millonaires who can suppor their expensive campaigns.

Also, its obvious that quantity > quality in real life. Unforunately, I can do neither :(. Higher quality on the sea doesn't do much for land wars. And considering that DF was against China, I would say he did pretty good.

@DF
Allies betrayed you? You had allies to begin with?

LOL... he was a 'chosen one'- the party picked him because he's 'beautiful people.'
He was young, charismatic, and (to be honest) more physically attractive than his opponent. He made a good mouthpiece to spin yarns and make promises that the Party had no intention of keeping.

The Dynasties on the Democrat side supported him, and thus he won.
The Dynasties on the Democrat side are now withdrawing a lot of that support, and he's already finding himself, as Eleanor Roosevelt so delicately put it "the one in trouble now."

I don't think we really want to talk current US politics here. Needless to say, I disagree, but I think we can leave it at that. I of course deserve some of the blame for us diving into this.
