Just a note that I will get my wisdom teeth removed on Friday so I will be even more irritable ;) on the weekend than usual. And it's apparently not the simplest case.

For some reason I can feel my teeth hurting...

A couple of years ago, the dentist removed the upper left one...
... I was cranky for a day.

A year ago, I had to go to the hospital to have the two on the right removed...
... I was cranky for a week.

Nothing to be scared of. Should be a breeze... unless you have one that is only slightly visible and hard to get.

I hope things go smoothly and it'll be over in a few minutes.

Wisdom teeth removed wasn'tt the worst thing to happen to me...

I mean, the time a sniper missed me by 6" was pretty bad, and the night we got 8 mortars dropped in our compound was a little worse... and those 2 200mm rockets that they had made into an IED that held us up for 3 hours on the way to Balad to fly out were rough too.

So, see, getting your wisdom teeth out isn't ALL that bad.
It really could be worse. ;)


Seriously, it's not bad. Hell, I was sneaking cigs again after 5 days.
Ensure is your friend... as is Campbell's soup.

I got all of mine.  The left ones in a Jar, the right ones in my mouth.

A week on soft food and a steady flow of painkillers can ease the life a lot during that week.

I am lucky, I have all my teeth including the four wisdom teeth in my mouth.  I used to have large gaps between my front teeth but the wisdoms forced all the other teeth forward and closed the spaces.
