Not a very exciting turn so far as actual new construction goes - mini-carrier Labedz gets laid down, along with more of the usual sloop/tug/submarine stuff that's been going for a while.

Notably completed this turn is the royal yacht Stanislaw I - just a few months after the world tour finishes - and the armored cruiser Czarownik.

Several old vessels, including the six oldest submarines, are retired before they kill somebody.

A BP is finished and another just started.  Looks like nine or ten IC finished overseas, and four IC started in the home regions.  The government's decided it isn't politically tenable to not fund some economic development at home, and the worry-warts in the bureaucracy don't want the Union overly dependent on the economic output of the overseas territories if something goes awry.

New guns completed are a 150/45 gun with 2-gun turret and a 15/90 machine gun in single deck mount.  A new 2-gun mount for the 300/45 has also been completed.

You're giving me yacht envy...

Probably wise.  Submarine life cycles were apparently dramatically shorter than other vessels.
After all, if a gasket fails or a bulkhead partially rusts while you'd bobbing on the surface, not a big deal, but if you then dive to 100ft.

I've followed your and Jefgte's lead on that, but thinking I should step it up further.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Yeah, that'll probably be an Aztec storyline.  Our sub force is so small, we'll be pushing those Iberian bought subs to their lifetime limits and probably have an accident that'll cause all of them to be decertified.

It'll take a bit longer to phase the larger gas-fueled boats out of service (given that there are about thirty of them) but it's on the to-do list.

Yeah, at the moment every single Aztec sub is in use, either doing patrols, or more often short training cruises with 150% crews to train all of the sub-sailors that are an anticipated need for when we start serial production of submarines.
