Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Excellent seaboat, comfortable, can fire her guns in the heaviest weather

These vessels are designed to operate in rivers such as the Tigris, or Don. They can be shipped by rail in sections. The propellers are in tunnels to avoid fouling.  Overall, they somewhat resemble the Confederate Casement Ironclads, but with only the middle third in the casement, allowing guns to be mounted fore and aft.

Draft is that of the OTL Insect Class, which operated in the Tigris River.

The forward 120mm is a conventional naval rifle.
The 118L20 is a howitzer.
The twin 15mm guns are Gardner handcranked machine guns on the roof.
10mm gunshields are provided.
A pair of 45mm QF are casement mounted amidships. This can fire fore/aft, or engage targets on the beam. While lacking the punch of the main guns, they allow suppressive fire totally under armor, and the small HE charge in the gun is sufficient to quickly engage and destroy enemy field peices.

The raised amidships superstructure is covered by 10mm armor and slanted back at 30 degrees (for a Cos30 O/H = 2.8m), this is  expected to defeat all small arms.
The main belt covers from +1.7 to -0.3m with 20mm armor, protecting the engines and magazines. This is expected to defeat any field gun HE rounds, as field guns will not be fitted with

Range is for 10 days.

Miscellaneous weights :
3t - Extra ventilation

Decks :
+4.2
+1.7  1st Deck
-1.2   Engineering deck.
