Budget of the Kingdom of Italy, HY1 1905

Budget Table

Money continues to be spent in the Italian territories.  The 0.25 in IC for the territory represents the roads the steam traction engines (paid for previously) are punching in and some sawmills and other basic kit.  The Italians are now eyeing the building of a light rail system.

Technology
The 1909 engines failed their 100hour test, and so are not ready for use yet. Reseach continues on other fronts.

Naval construction
The port at Nacala finishes expansion.
Ports at Conakry, San Pedro and Walvische Baye (all West Africa) continue construction and receive official names.

Per my news, the Submarine suffers a disaster and requires repair.
The older cruisers of the Piedmonte, Pollux and Volturno classes receive a refit, as do the tugs.

50 construction reserve drops to 5t.
New Light Cost : 3.415

Castor, Pollux 10 year refit

Total cost : $.01325 each

Volturno  2739tl    10 year refit
Overhaul Cost : 274t
Basic Refit Cost : +87
Replace 76mm & 37mm deck guns with 90mm & 45mm respectively (35t)
Ammo lockers hold 150 rounds and 180 rounds (17t)
Add short & long range radios (35t)
eliminate 50t construction reserve
*corrected shell weight for 4.7" 1892 guns.

Total cost : $0.361 / 0.087BP per ship

The Two new Transports and the new Collier are officially completed.
The battleship and the 4 new cruisers, all move forward.

Naval Maintenance
With the Re Umberto  back in the fleet after assisting the RN's Malta fleet, they receive a coat of paint and are put in reserve again. The St. Bon and Garibaldi classes are brought back to full active status.

Army Construction
The VI and VII African Legions are completed, and the last of the Marines are transported to Africa.

This leaves 1 Marine Regiment per Italian base, 1 Regiment is scattered down the West African Coast, 1 Regiment Patrols the Querimba coastal areas,  and one Regiment is split (1 Battalion is in Berbera, and 1 Battalion is in Nacala as Garrison).  The remaining 17 Regiments are involved in field duty in Nayassa Territory.

This brings the total engaged in combat operations in the Nyassa Territory to 47,000, with an additional 1500 in-country.

Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,

So this is the delayed HY2 report. I compared it to the HY1, it looks compatible.
A bunch of ICs finally get completed this year. I should have had an election, the economic boost would help the leading party.

HY1 saw the refit of bunch of vessels and they have now reentered the fleet and are on active trials.
Building goes back to the delayed Mercury class Cruisers, and the sole member of the Regno D'Italia class of battleships.

Does appeared I erred in my news, the II Afrikan Division hasn't fully been built, and only 2 Legions (Brigades) were down there with I Division and the Marines.
That's still +12k men to the ~47,000 there. So 59, not 72 thousand troops. Still more than Europe sent to Colonial wars by a good margin.

I'll post 1906 once I start that news.
