That's very thick belt armor. Historically the thickest belt armor I've seen for the period is 12" on the American ships. British ships tended to max out at 11".

I mention that since you could use that weight to help in adding deck armor which you are missing, as Tan pointed out.

I've been over-doing this particular design a bit much, I'll admit.  Its named Cavendish Mk3 but its really an entirely new vessel.  Not too fast at 21.5kt but I've been upping the armor and its obviously got better guns than the original (12/40 vs 12/35).  If I built her then she'd be a one-off.  Its sort of an in-between vessel between an AC and a BB and be helpful in bringing the speed of the battleline up to 21kts.
