Some ships built in 1905-1910 are using coal boilers.
I have tested some rebuilts with 1916 oil boilers.

I have noted that the rebuilt "coal to oil" give some free extra weight, interresting possibilities to modernise ships in the middle of their life.

Here is a 1910 DD100 class using coal.

D-100 Class, NUS DD laid down 1910 (Engine 1909)
