Amsterdam

The Admirlity annouced today the transfer of the Sloops of War HMS A.H. von Nassau and HMS Z. Kruis to the

Orange Free State. The ships were handed over to the OFSN in Cape Town on 1 January,1900. The Royal Navy

crew will remain in Cape Town for up to 3 Months training the new crews.
In a statement a spokesman for the navy said
"Even thought they are a former colony we realize the need for the OFSN to have the ability to

defende their coast line. The Royal Navy crews will work closely with the officers and the men of the OFSN to

ensure that they are fully trained and capable of fighting their new ships if needed.
The new names for the ships have not been released.

Stanleyville

Becuase of increased tensions in New Belgium, the viceroy of the Congo, Baron Henri Ostermann, has received

permission to activate the Colonial IV Corps. The men will be notified to report for duty within 2 weeks at there

area training centers.
In other news there have been no reports of any major bandit/raider activity since the Congo Mounted Police

destriyed a major bandit camp back in Nov.. But the CMP warned hte people not to drop the guard and to report

any bandit/raider activities to there local officals.

Brussels

Yesterday Her Majesty Queen Wilheminia and Luitentant ter zee 2nd klasse Julius Willem von der

Looz-Corswaren were married in Ariaantje Castle. Over 300 guests witnessed the ceremony. Represenatives

from all over the world attended. The Queen and her husband were reported to have danced all night at the

reception, but appeared anxiuos to leave the festivaties. They seen to be very 'close' when observed throught

gap in the curtain of their carriage as the were driven away. The location of their honeymoon was not revealed.

New Leige

The constuction of a new drydock was begun here. It is the first of severl projects slated for New Belgium.
Until the construction is completed the Royal Navy has been offered the use of the New Swiss facilities in

Adelaide. Adm.Koorts said he was looking forward to a long and glorious friend ship with both of our allies the

New Swiss and the DKB.

Amsterdam

The Admirality reported the the new Armored Frigate HMS de Zerven Provincien will begin her Shakedown

cruise in the first week of April. if all goes well she will report for duty to the NEI Fleet in Singapore.
Fregatkapitien Symon Jansz Henypot will be her first commanding officer. May she serve with pride and honor.
