Yes and nothing.

That in it self I have no problem whatsoever with, life if life and it got priority; but why did you never take thirty seconds to tell people (anyone) know that you did not have time?
And if something similar happens if the future, would you at least promise to let people know, rather then just go away and showing you do not care?

I am so sorry guys.  I just checked back through my old posts, and I was 100% sure that I posted something to that effect, but apparently I did not.

As for nikitol, does that mean that Ukraine has been claimed?

3 options Eugene.

1) Ask Nikitol to reliquish Ukraïne.

2) Play another state.

3) A new idea, play it together.
Advantages: if one ain't available, the other can keep on going. Writers block is more easely countered. 2 minds can think more of devious plans, and can find issues in those plans to be adressed before implementation.

My 2 cents.

It takes about 20 seconds on my computer and internet connection to look up that I did post something.
Even in the most hectict days I find time to check up the Nverse.

I don't believe there is anybody who has internet acces - even mobile phones can do that in this age- can't check up.

Considering he have not been here for about three months, I think that one is quite tricky...

My personal feeling is that if a player have been away much more then a month, without any advance warning to anybody (can be in private to a mod), it is fair to consider that country open.

Firenj is open for players.

But , it's an rather militaristic islamitic empire with a genius as leader.
Not the easiest to control as a player. I suggest you take the koran next to you when going for this. (I would)

Also, it's rather annoying to have a country played for a HY or 3, got a full fleet and army and a players hand in the shape of the empire to be. And then nothing....
Especialy if the neighbors suddenly have to adjust docterines of fleet and army to cope with a "from the blue" situation.

I'd really like to play again.  Which country would be best for me to play in terms of having a dynamic geopolitical situation in place, and in terms of helping out players who don't want to be confronted by an unknown quantity on their borders?

You could play Firanj - but to be fair, there must be a few game-years before you should involve yourself deeply against the New Swiss to allow them to build up their land forces in Australia, to which both Desertfox and Tanthalas assigned a very low priority adjust.

Then there is, roughly in descending order of power:
- United Normann Kingdom
- North or South China
- Ottoman Empire
- Dem. Rep. of Mesoamerica
- Bharat (India)
- Mughal
- Persia
- Siam

What sort of industrial capacity does monarchist "North China" have compared to the UNK, the Mughals, or Firanj?

Han or Tang China - something like 200M 11BP 50IC and 130$.
Mughals -  90M 1.5BP   30IC  and 72$ - with high growth potential.
Firanj - 25M 6BP   35IC   60$
Not sure how accurate and/or up-to-date these figures are.

Tang - Yang-Tse Valley (South, eats rice)

What information is there on Han China?  Are the numbers you provided indicative of the total for both countries, or each one?  If not, how much could the Han expect to have?
