Damage to armies. Or wounded men and destroyed equipment.

As armies march and of course fight men are killed, equipment destroyed and unit organization begins to break down. Following the concept of KISS for ground units how readiness / condition is kept track of will be somewhat abstract.

Full Strength: The unit is at or nearly at its full strength in regards to manpower and material and is fully combat capable this is the default state for units.

Weakened: The unit has taken some losses to its manpower and material. Still the unit is largely functional over all. The unit is able to function fully on defense and would have some penalties on attack. All that is needed to restore the unit is some time off line, one month or half its build time whichever is longer and the unit is back to full strength.

Damaged: A unit at this state has scene a great deal of fighting and its fighting capability is greatly reduced. Many of the subunits are showing large losses in manpower and or material. Still unit cohesion has not been list so the unit could fight if need be, however; it attacking would be very difficult and even defensive actions would be difficult now. To restore the unit at least one month off line or half its build time whichever is longer and need 25% of its manpower and build point costs paid.

Shattered: The unit is in a very sorry state, with many battalions only at company strength and there are large gaps in the units material lists. The unit will need at least one month off line or half its build time whichever is longer and need 50% of its manpower and build point costs paid to bring the unit back to fighting strength. As is the unit is incapable of any type of attack and only capable of limited defensive actions.
