The Rock Doctor

There are a few places open, large and small - but here are four larger powers/areas that we could really use active players for:

-Bharat:  Although it suffered some heavy losses in a war with France, this Asian nation is poised for better things as it absorbs the industrialized enclave of Goa and works to take possession of French Kolkata.

-Netherlands:  This assertive middle power is vacant following setbacks in a war against some neighbours in the Pacific.  Still, it has a powerful, asymmetric fleet and some key strategic territories.

-Russia:  A middle power in the process of building up its industrial power, the Russians may be able to capitalize on turmoil to their west and south in the coming years.

-Additional large and small powers may be available depending on whether their previous players have been able to participate or not.  Check with the Mods for further info.

Some of these powers have been played in the past, so you don't necessarily have to start from scratch.  Peruse the encyclopedia and see what interests you.

On the other hand, if none of these specifically grab your attention, there are other opportunities.  Contact the Mods with a summary of your interests (big/complex vs small/simple, marine vs continental, etc) and we can try to hook you up with the nation of your dreams.

One caveat to be aware of, though:  we really try to avoid disrupting the sim's historical and geographical continuity (such as it is) - creating new or bizarre nations out of thin air is out of the question.  If you want to try something different, the trick is to find an existing nation and develop a long-term plan to bring it around to your twisted vision:  that way, the rest of us can react to it in "real-time", rather than being shocked (and likely grouchy) as a result of its spontaneous appearance.
