Feverish activity in Gujarat as more and more refugee's crosses the border, but the

many troops in the area provides a tantamount task in setting up camps to harbour

the vast amount of people of predominantly Parsi origin. Otherwise an eerie calm has

descended over the border region between Bharat and Gujarat, apart from a few

attempts by bandits to attack refugees, which are dealt with by the "hardest

measurers", the influx increases week by week as an approximate number of at least

200.000 by the middle of February.

15/3 1916

The approximate number of refugees rounds ½ a million thus straining the ability for

the troops to keep up building camps, a sense of worry starts to seep in to the

parliamentary circles as the refugee situation worsens and more and more voices start to raise concern, both in regard of refugees, but also about the eventuality of an

Bharatian invasion of Gujarat.

But continuing assurances from F.M.Jessen ,based on contacts from the Bharatian

Sultan ,but also based on Intel from the head of Esc Intelligence  F.E. Dzerzhinsky can

assure the parliament that this is a purely French-Bharatian conflict  and Bharat has no

malign intentions toward the Esc ,which clearly be seen by the tact that Bharat only

has 1 corps stationed 10 Km from the border to Gujarat.

But the Esc is compelled to yet again to state its stance toward the Bharatian conflict;

The Esc is neutral in this conflict.

A warship of the Belligerent powers is allowed 24 hours stay in Esc Harbours.

After 24 hours said Warship will be interned.

A Merchant ship of the Belligerent powers is allowed to stay for 48 hours, only

exception is if a hostile Warship is within 50 Nm from Esc territorial waters.

In the event of a hostile warships being within 50 Nm of Esc territorial water,

Merchant ship of the Belligerent powers will also be interned after 3x48 hours.

But once again the Esc will state that any attack on any Esc territory will be repulsed

by all means necessary this also include any attacks on any Esc military installations

or Naval Vessels

Naval Headquarters
Myrvik,
Flensburg

23.30

A soft knock at the door of the office of Vice Adm. Lewenhaupth and the door creaks

open and reveal the ferret like face of Esc head of Intelligence F.E. Dzerzhinsky as he

enters the room.

Good evening; vice-admiral.

Good evening Felix, what brings you here at this time of night?

Well the night is a good time for clandestine meetings; Felix chuckled. I have come to

give you an update on the situation in India, and also I have some interesting news

about some naval developments abroad.

To begin with India: The Bharatian forces bordering Gujarat still keep themselves at

the distance of 10 km from the border and shows no signs what so ever towards any

aggression and their presence is at a maximum of a single corps, but the situation

internally in Bharat worsens on a daily  basis and the persecution of non Hindus is

creating more and more refugees ,thankfully we are still on top of the situation but I

will recommend that the two corpses at active footing in Gujarat should be raised to

wartime footing if the situation doesn't change within a few months.

Well at the beginning of June the Gujarat squadron will be strengthened with the

completion of the second Gujarat-class battlecruiser Bc Island and if necessary, we

have made some "un-official" contacts in the event that the conflict escalates, but

you also spoke about some naval developments, can you please elaborate more?

Yes vice-admiral, ever heard about the concept of flying off aeroplanes from ships?

A bit my good Felix, both the Russians and the Chinese dabbled into it a few years

ago, but with no greater success, however the few fliers I have wrested from the

army is very enthusiastic about the idea and compete amongst themselves as to

shorten take-offs and landing and I also know that a group of young ship constructors

at the Naval Design Office has drafted some designs for a Aero ship but mostly as a

paper exercise .But please do what you can to obtain any bit of information you can

get your hands on.

I will do my best as always vice-admiral.

Yes as always my dear Felix, Lewenhaupth chuckled.

25/3, 1916

The Esc Cruiser Isnebel while heading into port visit to the Baltic holding in the Chuvos

archipelago encountered an unknown small cruiser or large destroyer 250 NM north

of the islands; she was heading North and East at about 8 knots.  Distance was about

20,000 yards.

Isnebel turns north to intercept the unknown warship but looses sight of the ship

during a rain squall and as night sets in Isnebel returns to Chuvosa, for a rapid re

coaling .The sighting is transmitted to Flensborg by cable and Naval Headquarters put

the forces at Bermuda and Guinea on alert and orders all ships to start conducting

raider patrols in a triangle pattern from Guinea-Chuvosa-Bermuda .

It is with great sadness that the ESC today received the message of the departure of the great Gaius Marius Camila, and expresses the greatest sympathy towards the people of Italy on the loss off a great leader, and hopes that the new leaderships of Italy will uphold the agreements made by the, alas, deceased Emperor.

It is with great consternation, that the ESC now is a witness to,a New Zionite attempt to use the situation of a change of rule in Italy, as an excuse for bringing the New Zionite armed forces at a state of mobilization. If the New Zionite government has so much apprehension towards Italy, then it would be prudent of the government of New Zion to address their worries towards the 3 contracting powers overseeing the armistice between N.Z. and Italy instead of taking unilateral steps, which could alienate the relation between the former warring countries.
If the New Zion fell the need for further protection it would be prudent to contact contracting powers overseeing the armistice, and to ask them for support against an eventual, repeat, eventual Italian aggression, thus the ESC will put it's few troops in New Zion on alert and will make all necessary steps to protect any Esc –citizens and members of the diplomatic representatives of the 3 contracting powers. Furthermore the Esc strongly advice, the New Zionite government to stand down any measures, that can antagonize the Italians.
