Congratulations! I can't imagine the trials of marriage will be unexpected for you. :)

Every day (well almost), I've considered myself lucky to be married over the last 8+ years. I hope the same for you.

As to the shotgun marriage:
Robert getting christened in late 2008 (or was that early 2009?) I'm on the left, Urszula on the right, the Godmother and Godfather in the middle. Robert, eight at that time, is self-explicatory :)
As to getting drunk before the wedding - low danger of that. 15 years abstinence ...

Heh - not married yet and I can't get the dates straight already :)
The hitching is actually on the 23rd of October :D
Very quiet affair - just the two of us and her three children (one a joint venture with me).

As a couple, they get two 40kt ships, so I'd guess so. Everything else they build will have to be under 35kt.

...

I shall now forever be thinking of that treaty as the "husband and wife and kids" setup.

Yes, thank you. Everything went according to plan and desire.
I'm still digesting the notion of being legally married ... :)
