The Italia Ministry of Defense must decline due to reason of national security to export classified military vehicles.  The Publisher of said photograph has already been arrested by agents of the Praetorian Guard.  ;D

OOC:  I just figured the Picture of USS Missouri being taken back out of dry dock needed to be posted.

Couldnt agree more, makes me want to build Iowas again... Seriously people need to stop tempting me to build Great big ships, trust me the temptation is bad enough without seeing them. ;D

That the scale model of the Yamato used in the movie?
BTW, for anyone that has NOT seen Otoko-tachi no Yamato simply must find a copy subtitled in their language and watch it. It is easily on par with We Were Soldiers as far as historical accuracy, intensity of action and acting quality. The effects do Saving Private Ryan proud- in the final battle scene, the aircraft are modeled so well that you can occasionally see pilots, and there is one occasion where more than a dozen aircraft are attacking simultaneously.

I watched it with a several of the men in my Guard unit many months back.
Very few of us were able to keep dry eyes by the end.

I don't know. I googled for photos of the IJN Musashi and this is one of the first four I found.

I think the Italians have been shopping in the RRC, those square boxen on the superstructure, next to the smokestack, look a tad like large suicide rocket packs.
