      10 - 5.91" / 150 mm guns in single mounts, 99.21lbs / 45.00kg shells, 1908 Model
Breech loading guns in casemate mounts
     on side, all amidships
10 guns in hull casemates - Limited use in heavy seas
      4 - 3.46" / 88.0 mm guns in single mounts, 22.05lbs / 10.00kg shells, 1900 Model
Quick firing guns in deck mounts
     on side, all amidships
Weight of broadside 3,594 lbs / 1,630 kg
Shells per gun, main battery: 150

Armour:
   - Belts:      Width (max)   Length (avg)      Height (avg)
   Main:   10.2" / 260 mm   255.91 ft / 78.00 m   16.40 ft / 5.00 m
   Ends:   2.56" / 65 mm   137.80 ft / 42.00 m   9.84 ft / 3.00 m
   Upper:   5.12" / 130 mm   255.91 ft / 78.00 m   8.20 ft / 2.50 m
Main Belt covers 100 % of normal length

   - Gun armour:   Face (max)   Other gunhouse (avg)   Barbette/hoist (max)
   Main:   10.2" / 260 mm   3.94" / 100 mm      9.45" / 240 mm
   2nd:   5.12" / 130 mm   0.79" / 20 mm      2.76" / 70 mm
   3rd:   1.57" / 40 mm         -               -

   - Armour deck: 2.95" / 75 mm, Conning tower: 10.24" / 260 mm

Machinery:
   Coal fired boilers, steam turbines,
   Direct drive, 2 shafts, 17,000 shp / 12,682 Kw = 20.04 kts
   Range 6,000nm at 10.00 kts
Bunker at max displacement = 1,017 tons (100% coal)

Complement:
   502 - 653

Cost:
   £1.590 million / $6.361 million

Distribution of weights at normal displacement:
   Armament: 455 tons, 4.5 %
   Armour: 4,396 tons, 43.6 %
      - Belts: 2,496 tons, 24.8 %
      - Torpedo bulkhead: 0 tons, 0.0 %
      - Armament: 766 tons, 7.6 %
      - Armour Deck: 1,031 tons, 10.2 %
      - Conning Tower: 103 tons, 1.0 %
   Machinery: 697 tons, 6.9 %
   Hull, fittings & equipment: 3,152 tons, 31.3 %
   Fuel, ammunition & stores: 1,082 tons, 10.7 %
   Miscellaneous weights: 300 tons, 3.0 %

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
     16,151 lbs / 7,326 Kg = 38.3 x 9.4 " / 240 mm shells or 2.7 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.10
   Metacentric height 3.2 ft / 1.0 m
   Roll period: 15.4 seconds
   Steadiness   - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 71 %
         - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.53
   Seaboat quality  (Average = 1.00): 1.41

Hull form characteristics:
   Hull has a flush deck
   Block coefficient: 0.599
   Length to Beam Ratio: 6.00 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 19.84 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 53 %
   Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 0.00 degrees
   Stern overhang: -4.10 ft / -1.25 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
      - Stem:      16.40 ft / 5.00 m
      - Forecastle (20 %):   16.40 ft / 5.00 m
      - Mid (50 %):      16.40 ft / 5.00 m
      - Quarterdeck (15 %):   16.40 ft / 5.00 m
      - Stern:      16.40 ft / 5.00 m
      - Average freeboard:   16.40 ft / 5.00 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
   Space   - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 61.4 %
      - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 117.5 %
Waterplane Area: 18,877 Square feet or 1,754 Square metres
   Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 104 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 113 lbs/sq ft or 551 Kg/sq metre
   Hull strength (Relative):
      - Cross-sectional: 0.91
      - Longitudinal: 2.32
      - Overall: 1.00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is excellent
Room for accommodation and workspaces is adequate
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Good seaboat, rides out heavy weather easily

250t 1912 Fire Control
25t 1905 Sehendes Auge
25t Weight ReserveDS.

Not sure I care for it. I thought you were trying to modernize your fleet, remove the older, slower ships. That just brings you back to your problem. Best to build 1 16,000 ton ship with 25-26 knot speed, and with 8 guns.

Tis neither fish nor fowl.  I'd prefer one of your panzerkreuzers from the other thread for the role over this design.

IMO,
You could reduce protection for 12" shell & increase the speed to work with BBs in coastal operation.

A kind of ship like this one but with more protection but smaller guns ;)

I agree with the others, while it would dominate any of the Bharat or Mughal ships would it really be useful anyplace else?  I would suggest instead building a cruiser with the same gun size, 240mm, but normal armor and speed.

Or putting an older battleship there instead.

But I doubt that would fit on 9,000t.

I don't have anymore to send there. One in Dar-es-Salaam, one in Hai Phong, one in Mombasa. That covers all 3 PDNs. Plus Hyäne, a semi-CDS in Vögeldreck. Now I need something to cover Sarawak,  Goa, Paderborn-Delbrock, and Aden so I don't have to send REAL ships there.

Could coast defense batteries allied with controlled detonation mine fields be a better option in some or all of those places?

There is one truism of coast defense: you can't sink a gun on land...

The man makes a good point.
