Why should I play the Ukraine?
I'm open for suggestions though.

I'm sorry. It's just that I play Romania, and that all 3 of the countries around me are unplayed. It would be nice if you played the Ottoman or the Ukraine.

First, a likely silly question: What does "RRC" mean?

Ukraine... does it even have a shore? With Ocean access?
Though catholic is ok (thx for the info maddox), names and such would be really troublesome for me.

Can you direct me to a world map, that is not outdated with caption and reasonably sized?

Shores, yes, Black, and Baltic Sea.
Ocean access, if the Leipzig Compact and/or the Ottomans don't say "No way", you have acces to oceans trough the Bosporus and Kattegat.

It can be Catholoc, but it doesn't need to be. For the same amount of trouble it reverted to pre-christian beliefes after the split from Russia.

And the world map has an own tread (http://www.navalism.org/index.php?board=13.0).

You know, Ukraine has an impressive 12 battleships, and the ottomans still have 6.

The RRC stands for the Reformist Republic of China, the nation I currently run ;)

Well, I don't want to announce which country I will be playing before it is official, but I guess it's save to say that I will probably not be your neighbor.

Ahoj!
Wellcome to all New Guys!
The Ukraine is mostly Orthdox (Ukrainians, Belarus, Russians). A large Catholic minority - Polish and Lithuanians. Plus some Luherans - Latvians and Germans. And the odd Muslim - Crmean Tartars and Jew - all over the place - too.
The political elite is Orthodox.

On the Baltic Riga is ice free 10 months of the year, Lipava - almost 100% ice free. The Black Sea coast can be assumed to be ice free.

"...unless you're a follower of the Eye, in which case we wish you a pair of sharp sticks in each of your eyes."
I think that's what you meant to say. :D
