Okay, so I was going over the Romanian economy information and found two different figures
One says Population 15 mln
IC 15
BC 3,5
Revenue: $30
And the other one says Population 7.5 mln
IC 5
BP .5
Revenue:10.5 mln
Both do not include the .5 IC that the Habsburgs invested into the country
Which one should I go with? I would prefer the first one, but its up to you.
We're working on this and other questions. Our plan is to tell you how big the economy is, what you have on the tech tree, naval facilities, etc.
I'm going to try to do that tonight and get the other mods to look it over. So possibly as soon as the morning my time (eastern us).
Welcome present ;)
Could the new players, Texan & Ciders start with all warships technos, before 1910 ?
Jef ;)
thanks. Should I start making some springsharp reports for the ships is olekits romanian book.
Oh, and Romania invented the world first jetplane in 1910, the Coanda--1910, so you may want to factor that in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coanda-1910

With limited economy and sea access I doubt Romania would have pursued Battleship construction to any real degree. I see their 'perfect' fleet as consisting of 1 large AC to act as flagship, 3-4 decent sized CLs to act as screen/TB leaders, and a mass of 250-500t TBs. I'd also think they'd have heavily invested in MTB technology and mine warfare. Also w/ the aircrafts usefulness slowly becoming evident I could see them paying attention to that w/ the thought of being able to advance scout for whatever may be comming across the Black Sea from Russia/Ukraine/Turkey.
Now their Army Tech I would suspect to be top of the line, just out of fear of Russian/Austrian Annexation especially after they refused to let EITHER base troops there during the Balkan Crisis.
Egypt I'd think would be in a similar situation, what w/ the land war w/ Italy recently and the always dangerous (unstable) New Zion to the South. They have some possesions offshore so I could see a slightly larger Navy in their case, but mostly defensive in nature w/ some larger TB/Small DDs and a decent amount of River gunboats for patrolling the Nile.
Hrm. I'll have to dig around for the text of that one. A casual search doesn't reveal anything but it's existence. I fear that the text may not exist however.
Yeah, I see that. The devil is in the details here though. Open tech trading agreements aren't *that* common, so I don't think it's safe to assume that Romania got everything.
Even if they did, they'd have to integrate all that tech, and may not have had the budget to do that between 1908 and today.
Let me see what I can come up with for the 1/1913 snapshot though. I'll PM it to you for your review once we mods are ready for you to review it.

Hey, New Zion is not that bad. We are (where?) friends with Egypt in the past... The Egyptian fleet is around and includes a pair of pre-dreads and 6 relatively decent TBs. Part of a deal with NZ.
what year are we in
It's about November 1, 1916.
