Title: Today...
Post by: The Rock Doctor on June 21, 2008, 11:54:14 AM
...is the first sunny day in a week here, so I mowed parts of the lawn, picked two cups of wild strawberries, am currently eating home-grown salad and freshly baked cheese/onion bread, and will soon be out weeding my garden.

I will, however, be thinking about catching up New Switzerland while I weed (coincidence?), so all is not lost.

What're you doing?

Today is the day after midsummer here.
So most people feel a bit worn. The day have been spent in one of my friends garden, drinking huge amounts of tea and smoking water pipe (apple flavoured tobacco, was alright). Now one is looking forward to the Holland-Russia game.

Nice & warm day here too
I mowed the lawn, committed and pinched tomatoes, cut spent flowers,
swept and tidy the garage and workshop.
As I had worked well, I drank a fresh beer and I watched the match Holland vs Russia...great
Now, after visit Warships Forums, I am going to post the last photos about GK10.

Uploading my pictures of Yesterday's Air Show at Leeuwarden Air Base...

For those interested, the photos can be found here:

I'm putting them in various time blocks according to the program and the 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 13:00 and 14:00 blocks are currently completed. No pictures were taken during the 12:15 break and the 12:45 break as I was out looking for some nice goodies that were available. :)

The goodies weren't worth a pic or two?

When I am looking at planes, I take pictures...
When I am looking at the displays in the sky, I take pictures...
When I am looking at the nice goodies, I forget about taking pictures. ^_^;;

My wife took my 1 year old son to my in-laws' house while I sit at home (on-call for work). So I went to my friendly neighborhood pub and had a burger and a few pints :)

But mostly, I've been bitmap editing. It was pretty gray and humid here.

Pints? While "on call"? I want your job, I think. ;)

Bear in mind that he was on call on a Saturday.

And I'm at work right now, so not really much of a difference there.

Ah - that's a useful piece of information to have.

I spent my weekend working on my bathroom; Saturday evening was spent running my Hunters Campaign.

For the bathroom project I had to knock out the walls in the shower, clean up the mess and put up new water proof wall board.  Next weekend the tile goes up, this was a tough weekend.  This week I work on the new lawn I am putting in.

My bathroom needs some work when you're done.

My advise is to let your yard grow wild for a few years - that's why I've got new trees and shrubs and an infestation of wild strawberries.

The weed mass doesn't look nice in the mean time; funny part is I do have the wild strawberries and a rasberry bush in the back; my kids are eatting the strawberry vines clean.

True, the place does look pretty wild - but I can get away with that out in the boonies.

The reason one should build ones garden out of concrete... ;)

It has also come to my attention that there are a few people here who do not understand Swedish.
To those few un-enlightened people I feel I should give the link this little class in five lessons:
http://www.slayradio.com/mastering_swedish.php

And for those who do not want to downlaod.

They are quite old, so some might have heard them before.
