Jagannath, Laksamanavati destroyer, laid down 1924

The Jagannaths continued to improve the speed and range of Laksmanavati destroyers, able to steam 11,000 nmi at 10 kt and were slightly better seaboats than the previous generation. The explosive paravanes proved to be less effective than depth charges which were again the ASW weapon of choice.

Sundari, Laksamanavati destroyer laid down 1928

The Sundari-class destroyers were more correctly a subclass of the Jagannath-class, being built on the same hull but with more modern engines. This upgrade gave the Sundaris a range of 13,200 nm. The Sundaris were also an improved ASW platform, mounting updated hydrophones and heavier, 195 kg depth charges.
