I need more battleships  !!!

I was working on a very similar list , but more subdivided and no tonnages.

as I recall mine goes something like
16 DNs
6   PBB
12 AC
....

I was going to first make sure all my ship classes/refits are moved from the Ship Design to Encyclopedia....,
then take a harder look at what others have to get updated again on what is 'state of the art' for 1925 ....
(current year-3) for where I feel comfortable "knowing" a ship's stats.

I feel like my fleet is very small in comparison and I don't quite understand why.

My impression is you've been scrapping your old ships while both of us have been rebuilding them.
Frankly the size of the Byzantine fleet helps drive the Parthian need to keep numbers up,
plus there's an awareness that we can't spare our very best ships for something like a Mayan war,
so our second line need to be fairly capable - hence regunning the Gilgamesh and others.

This is a false impression, your ships are fewer in number but carry more guns

Interesting, as even with the rearmed Gilgamesh I come up with less in metric tonnage for
broadside weight of fire.

I think it's the Panzerschiff style BB & AC which gives a slight superiority in numbers & tonnage... but not in broadside & guns.

They are part of why I rebuilt and rearmed my PD's, if we clash I expect to find those ships somewhat annoying.
I keep coming back to the desire to specifically build counters, but other demands on my BP have taken priority.
