1923.5 Parthian Turn Synopsis

This is close to the same as the draft I had done prewar.
I chose to do a long winded write up in hopes of boring to tears
those brave enough to read it.... step 517C in my evil plot to ...Take Over The World.
Which keeps failing, but there's always tomorrow night.

This does not reflect the temporary naval and marine deployments as a result of the war.
SE Asia and Pacific Forces have reinforced San Francisco, this includes the Hawaii marines, replaced by the Brunei marines.
while Ria and the Expeditionary Fleet have Reinforced Liere (Trinadad). This includes the Atlantic Marines and Expansion troops and Floating dock.
The Asbara class ACs have been sent to bolster both.
With the Rohk class in refit, they are replaced by the Tortoise class.

Digesting the perceived lessons of the Mayan war will take more time, and Parthia has a large and ...thorough...bureaucracy that has been around for over 1,000 years.   Merit based exams keep the bureaucrats competent and minimizes nepotism, multiple internal investigation branches  and draconic penalties for official corruption keep it fairly honest. Overall, these have have kept the bureaucracy a fairly effective and competent one, but nimble should not be the description.

So 1924 and 1925 will be when new ships and priorities start to be seen, this just continues the 1923HY1 plans.

The Howitzers are meant for two roles.
The first is fire support for on-shore troops.
The second is to engage surfaced submarines.
A blunt nosed shell, or a stick bomb, can penetrate below
watersurface and have a mining effect. In service
at the end of WWI they faded after.

Looking at the forces deployed in the Mayan War makes me wonder how well prepared Parthia is.
Conclusion : I need more of everything.
Well except maybe minesweeping, I have 60 regular and 60 aux vessels for that, not horrible.
Worse, I will need to be retiring a lot of older vessels soonish, and their replacements will tend to be larger.
