'Fortress' MG : concept : Gast-Flieger MG in 15mm

The 15mm is adapted from the Navy.  Long used in the Navy in the obsolete Gardner Guns, a modern cartridge is adopted and a new GAST twin design fielded. Designed in Naval service for  terminally engaging shore targets while standing offshore, in Army service the very heavy machine gun is not viewed as practical for general use, and so  used for very long ranged fire from both permanent and temporary fortifications. A wheeled carriage with a detachable mounting has limited availability, allowing it to be used in field fortifications easily.  With the steppes, the mountains, the deserts, long site ranges abound on Parthia's borders.
