Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

I have noted short (?) holidays for BB in Naval Construction.

;)
"You French are fighting for money, while we English are fighting for honor!"
"Everyone is fighting for what they miss. "

Yes, a short pause.
I simply had to many other things that needed attention.
and as you pointed out I have completed 8 modern superdreadnaughts,

I really do want to get the Kalifern class started, with the long construction times
I at least want the timeline going even if I can not put much resources into it.

Conceptually,  originally I wanted an 'even flow' where each turn
I put Q construction to BBs, R to ACs, S to CLs, T to DDs, U to SS, and V to misc.
Between techs, gun development, and discovering the BP need for Land/Dep/Air/Fort/Docks
my pregame dreams have been completely blown up.
