Parthia, HY2 1920

A long awaited project has finally finished.

Expansion on many fronts has meant borders shifting, particularly as an IC is built at the limit of one province,
and then used as the springboard for the next provinces.

A purely self inflicted problem, but one I owe it to the Sim to make sure I track correctly.

So this map represents me reorganizing my provinces slightly and making sure I had an accurate count, and idea of where the IC were.
AND
putting it in some form I may be able to track going forward.
PLUS
I tried to find reasonable 'Local' names for my various ports.

This is to represent that the Parthians are more looking to incorporate areas into their empire, than wholesale replace the locals.
The most desired asset is...empty or sparsely populated productive land to alleviate population pressure, food pressure and resource demands.
Harking back to Alexander the Great's establishment of Colonial cities, the Parthians make their own instead of displacing the locals.
The 'best' locations usually already have someone living on them, but with cheap energy (oil) and steam power, coupled
with 2000 years of hydraulic engineering, Parthians can prosper in less than the 'best' areas.

Unfortunately I've lacked the time/energy to tell those stories,
but at least I can make a somewhat pretty map with names reflecting that.

Phenix Yehud
...well except in New Zealand, where the 'Musket Wars' of the 1850s went unchecked through the 1910s and the locals were down to a few thousands, locked in blood feuds.

Original timeline history has Cyrus the Great freeing the Jewish peoples from Babylon. Later, when driving out by Rome, they were welcomed back to Persia, and the Sassanians
promised to return them to their homeland. Jewish nobility even formed a special class. That promise was actually fulfilled for a couple years ~620AD, but then something went
sour between the Jews and the Sassanians...there may have been bloody purges in Jerusalem that forced the Sassanians to reassert control.

Anyhow, in N7, Parthia concedes it is unlikely to in the foreseeable future wrest Jerusalem back from Byzantine.
So, the Parthians have provided the Jewish people a new homeland, and it has names from their history.

Maybe I'll set up a homeland for Nestorian Christians, as they fled to Parthia as well.

Anyhow - A Map !!

Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

#1
Now that I've shoved my provinces around,
I had to reconfigure my turn sheet information.
This should be correct and reflect the map.

Synopsis :
Build a BP in Media
Build 9 IC in the Territories
Continue research on a bunch of stuff.

Commence research on 330L43.9 gun firing a 591kg@810mps.
Weight of a twin mount is 366t, allowing it to replace the armament on a Gilgamesh or Enki.
Free mount is a true quad, I'll pay for the twin later.

TECH tab-  color coded home of my tech tree.

ARTILLERY Tab - New !   This has either a complete, or nearly so, listing of Parthian guns, and their most recent mounts by type and date.
You will see several mounts are listed as '2x 1909' - this reflects that for new types of mountings the Parthians are usually both using the FREE mount, and paying for a duplicate.
As a storyline matter, the idea is they will use the one that works best, avoiding teething issues.  Also as a storyline - more than one foundry working on such things.

Complete BB-17, BB-18 Stormbringer
Build 2x 1915 SSM-500
Complete 2x 1920 Corvette (DD)
Complete 4x 1919 Fleet Destroyer
Build 16x MTB-D - these go on the refurbished Mus-Sag, which 'pay' tonnage for them.
Complete 4x PS-1 Sentry

Continue 2x Zemaka
Continue 2x Frigate
Continue Aztec Seaplane Carrier

Rebuild PC-I, and PC-II classes (PC 1-4)
Rebuild SC 3 (SC 3, 4)
Rebuild SC 5 (SC 5)

Edit : Apparently I scrapped the oldest TBs as well.

And now for something completely different....GUN DESIGN

FIRST - the Penetration #s here are NOT "RIGHT" or Official.

I used to use Navweaps to calibrate Logi's ballistic's tool in our forums,
and then make estimates.

But I assumed whoever ran the battles would have a different system, so
that was 'fair', I did not have any special knowledge.

Now that the Mod Cap wound up in my lap, I just set Logi's variables "in the neighborhood'
which should give me an idea of roughly how that weapon does,
AND
how it performs relative to the other options I have.

Here, I want to replace the ~1900 tech main guns on the oldest dreadnaughts in about 1923.
So I have to start building new 1915 tech guns that can do that.
Higher ME, larger potential shells and and the +10% shell size mean a smaller shell can have
more punch.

Yeah, I poking at numbers.
