Norse Half Reports Discussion

I just converted the last Norse half report (H1/11) to the updated format.

Fortunately Walter has some very big ships being built, which makes updating, pretty straightforward.

My general thought is you two can debate some sort of reoccuring basic budget.

Like
4.5BP : Battleship
4 BP : Battle Cruiser
3 BP : Armored cruiser
...and down the line for DD/ Sub / MTB/ MWF/ Aux.

At first I'm thinking just continue the existing most recent designs 1 more iteration.

Toss a regular build program for
Land/Dep/Air/Fort/Coastal Fort.

Deduct maintenance

Then find the 'remainder'
Figure out what's a reasonable approach to colonial investment

From looking at the last Norse report this is what I'm thinking:

-The capital ship program is pretty large. Just finishing them up should use up most of the available BP. No need to worry about more ships until they are finished.
-Use any remaining BPs for deployment points.
-Use any remaining $ on IC development in colonies.

That should get us to H2/1913, where things will start diverging as the big capital ship program ends. Next week, I can throw together draft reports from H2/11 to H2/13.

Draft H2/1911 Report

16 BPs towards the capital ship program
9 Deployment Units and 1 Air Unit
Rest of cash towards IC development

What do you guys think?

Once I converted the Norse over to the new report format, its actually quite simple to update them. Its just a matter of deciding what to do.

Im thinking starting a sister to Calgacas in H2/11 and a Tiger BC in H1/12 makes sense, what do you guys think?

Ah August 25th.. day 10 of on duty.

Basically from Mid August to Mid October I was On Duty.
Then I was exhausted.
Then I did the Caicos War
Then it was Christmas
...and about the end of January I will get back to this subject :)

But yes, taking the existing designs and either a repeat laydown, or an "in class" update is what I was expecting.

Probably the big thing is to figure out when new guns are available.
That will set the date for the lay down of new capital ship/cruiser classes with the new guns & turrets.

The Norse will also need some large destroyers with good seakeeping for those northern routes.

Sounds like a plan, I'll get back on this next week. I should be easily be able to get the reports caught up as far as H2/13. After that is when I expect the new ship designs will start popping up.

No new guns are currently in the pipeline, but a 405/45 would make sense.

There be rumors of a possible Norse player. So here are a few more half reports up to H1/1913.

At this point, most of the capital ships are finishing as is the first batch of research. Can use some assistance figuring out what to do next.

H2/1913 Report, laid down two Hela class BBs and a fourth Lion.

Started the following techs:
1909 Naval Propulsion   
1912 Destroyers
1912 Fire Control   
1910 Amphibious    
1910 Logistics   

And 405/45 twin naval gun.
