Parthia 1913.0

Parthia is sadly neglected with her tech tree and OOB files a little outdated.
That will be attended to soon...very soon.

In 1913 HY 1,

Economic

An IC will be completed in Brunei.
Elsewhere, ICs will be 50% complete in White Bay, Somoa and Hawaii.

Partial payment received for Mallet

Naval

2 Varyu class cruisers will complete
2 Royal Road courier cruisers will complete
The two "Whale" class Fleet Support Vessels will finally complete
4 new Minesweepers will be built.
24 new MTB-As will be built

2 Tiamats dreadnaughts will move towards their HY2 completion.
1 Destroyer leader will also.

12 'Sea Eagle' Destroyers will be laid down and launched for HY2 completion
4 'Maelstrom' scout cruisers will be laid down.  (SC-6 "G")

1 Mallet type CDS will be laid down for the Inca, partial payment received.

150m drydocks will be completed in Zanzibar, Kandy, and Cape Verde
150m drydocks will continue in Cape Karoo, Ria de Janerio, Brunei and Hawaii.

Refits

Parthia had just completed both 1912 Fire Control and 1910 Capped shells.
This means it has to take ships, recently upgraded to 1908 FC, and upgrade them again.
That takes them out of service for a while for both the upgrade and "trials"

So the Parthians have decided to upgrade their ships in 3 phases.
For 1913, they will lean heavily on their 1890s hulls for overseas presence, while bringing the rest in for refit and battle drill.

Phase 1 includes all the ships still on trials or just completing, and some modern destroyers and cruisers.

For the new Tiamat class on trials and completing, the tremendous success of the torpedoes in the east, and the ranges of their launch, leads them to unbolt the 60L50 guns, and put on the symmetric 90mm AA, and delete some construction reserve in favor of adding torpedo nets to fend off night attacks.  While they are confident in the TDS to prevent severe operational restrictions or sinking from a torpedo or two, the reports of many hits on the battle lines are disturbing.

The Parthians need time, and practice, to decide if their ships - larger, with many heavy QF guns and topline fire control- would be at the same risk. Particularly they need plans for fending off night attacks. Until that is determined, they choose the additional protection.

Phase 2 is the rest of the first line ships.
Phase 3 will be the secondary ships, and will probably overlap refurbishments of many.

These are delineated on the "refit" tab.

Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Updated my naval artillery table to reflect both the new guns and the expected effects of the capped shells.
Originally, I developed the table for my own purposes, and expected the Mod would just use something else.
Now however, I use Logi's tool for the battles to generate penetration for our custom guns so I can figure out when someone's armor stops working.

I thought I would share the updated table here, where more people will see it. ...maybe....

I will say...the code converter is soooooo much easier than arranging the table by hand like I did when I played Bavaria.
