Interesting question.
I'd be tempted to go with 2 turrest fore>+ aft and 2 turrets under Sides- End (Fore >=aft) which should give a fore and an aft wing turret.
But VDT's are closer to the waist.
There a Gun Tab #2 could work, with 1 turret at Side-Foredeck aft, and 1 turret at Side Aft deck forward

Frankly I'd go with Option #1.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Banana Boat 13" is an interresting concept.
I like particulary the 7" guns in turrets well camofled & the high speed.
... The belt is really light.

A more conventional version of the raider, designed as a cruiser version of a "gunboat diplomacy" gunboat. Cheaper than an armored cruiser, faster than a coast defense battleship, bigger than a gunboat, and more intimidating than a light protected cruiser. Can do some raiding, commerce protection, and scouting, but primary role is to show the flag, and intimidate locals. Can carry a decent marine detachment.

Decided to have some fun... his majesty the king of Siam decides he needs a suitably impressive ship to make a not so subtle statement to the new neighbors to the South (Parthia).
...
Image needs quite a bit of work, my pagoda drawing skills are not there yet.

It would be a reasonable opponent for the Tiamat class, the 8" are a little odd.  I have no pagoda drawing skills at all...
as for the Bangkok, both the Byzantines and Parthians have fielded 10" armored cruisers about the same size and speed, the B's are building more ACs (well actually the Byzantines are building  BCs under the AC name).  The Deck Armor needs work, as a 10" shell ...well as best as I can figure, under 10k my ships will hole your belt, and over 10k they will hole your deck, and at all ranges 25mm may not stop 255mm shell splinters.   Overall not bad though.
Did they beat the drum slowly,
Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Odd is what I was going for... A dreadnought with a pre-dreads secondary. Rationale is Siam would probably be outnumbered in any war, so theoretically this ship could fight two battleships and two cruisers at the same time. But we all know theory never pans out as planned.

Dropping some speed on the AC should be enough to beef up the deck armor.

A N-verse colony ship, designed to show up, unload, and support a battalion of troops. Accommodation areas are armored against small arms fire. Alternatively its designed to function as an AMC, troop accommodations would be used for prize crews/prisoners and torpedoes would be carried to sink merchants not worth capturing.
