Longmen Grottoes

The Longmen Grottoes are one of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist art. Housing tens of thousands of statues of Buddha and his disciples, they are located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of Luoyang in Henan province, Wei. There are as many as 100,000 statues within the 1,400 caves, ranging from 25 mm to 17 m in height. The area also contains nearly 2,500 stelae and inscriptions as well as over sixty Buddhist pagodas.

#2
Sishui Gate

(Picture of OTL Yongdingmen gate)

One of the old gates at Sishui Pass, protecting the road through the pass to the city of Luoyang. It was the site of the Battle of Sishui Pass (190 AD) where general Hua Xiong singlehandedly slew four generals of the Coalition against Dong Zhuo. The current gate, the third to be built at the location, was built in 1397.

(note: OTL, no battle in Sishui Pass was recorded. Info used is based on the fictional info from Luo Guanzhong's historical novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and some made-up stuff)
