The Russian Emperor Michail II will visit Vienna with the official visit. The Emperors will be VIP guests at the another wedding of the Austrian Duke.

The DKB cruiser SMS "Kaiserin Augusta" arrived at Nikolaev. She had been renamed to "Admiral Kornilov" and set to the drydock for reconstruction. The picularities of the reconstruction are not announced, but the ship will be ready to service till March, 1904.

Two liners - SMHS t/s Salome and SMHS t/s Xantype - were laid down at the RUSSUD shipyard at Nikolaev. The delivery to owner plans at the fall of 1904.

The cruiser "Admiral Kornilov", being under reconstruction at Nikolaev, had been classified by the Naval Ministry Attache as Armoured cruiser and was included to the list of the Black Sea Fleet reserve ships.

Russian Naval Ministry had signed the contract with the UKA officials and bought 2 River Class armoured cruisers - "Hudson" and "Connecticut". The ships will be renamed to "Pamyat' Merkuria" and "Pamyat' Azova". The russian navy flags will be hoisted at the ships in January, 1904, and both ships will be includet into lists of the Navy after reconstruction.

The North Navy armoured cruiser "Pamyat' Azova" had been renamed to "Archangelsk".

The new type of battleship - "Sweaborg" - has entered the service. This battleships are the first in russian navy, which were made specially for Baltic fleet. They has and icebreaking stem, low depth, wihch make it possible to pass the shallow straights and sevre in whinter period. Moreover, "Sweaborg" class are the first battleship in Russian fleet, which has 8 - 305 mm main guns.
The naval Ministry plans to build another 3 ships of this class in 1904 - 1906.

Russian armoured cruiser Admiral Nachimov arrived at Sevastopol and had been set into the drydock. The Ship was on duty at Mediterranean for last year, based at new russian navy base Hibraltar. The russian navy authorities desided that ship needs a repair and reconstruction. New boilers, firesystems and armament would be set to the ship.

The building of the two glorious transatlantic liners continues at Nikolaev. The hulls of the ships are ready by now for 20%. Such speed are possiblebecause of the modern shipbuilding technologies were applied in industry of RUSSUD.

The order of 20 destroyers Ochotnik type were placed this month at several shipbuilding factories.

The order of about 300.000 new Mosin rifles and ammo had been placed at several factories.
