Maddox Reduced Involvement and Changes to Lineup

Some may have noticed that Maddox has been less involved in the sim of late than we have been used to. Unfortunately we expect this reduced involvement to continue.

It has become apparent to the Mod team that it is necessary for the good function of the Sim as a whole for there to be someone actively playing the French. After reviewing our options, we decided the best option was for me to move on again to France, leaving idle the conglomerations of Islamic nations I've been controlling (The Ottoman Empire, Persia, The Mughal Empire and Khazaria). The storyline I've been working on, or not working on there, depending on your point of view, will likely continue, if over an even slower timeframe. We see no reason to end it, one way or another now. The current distancing between France and some of her Nassau Treaty allies will continue, specifically so that two mod powers, France and the UNK, are not too cozy.

Maddox does not wish to abandon the Sim entirely, he simply does not have the time required now to mod and give the French the attention they require. For the moment, I'll be running day to day operations of the French, with Maddox contributing stories and engaging in role playing when his time and energy allows. He and I think this is the best possible arrangement for the current circumstances.

Over the next several weeks, Maddox, CtWaterman and I will be reviewing sim governance in general, in an attempt to decide what if any changes we need to make to how we do things or whether or not we need to appoint a third active mod. Input and/or criticism is appreciated.

It is our intention to get things moving as quickly as possible, starting with whatever might or might not be happening in Jan 1920 in the Pacific.

Wonder if the Marina National will start to get some better looking ships? ;D

Congrats on the promo. Here is hoping that life does not get in the way, or stay in the way for to much longer.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
