1920 Bonuses, population, and war economic consequences, etc.:

Population Adjustments:

CSA - 2.5%
Japan - 2.5%
Maoria - 2.5%

Italians, Dutch, Swiss, DKB and French: mobilization and other adventures hurts some, so population only grows by 1.75%.

New Zion: the cost of war was steep, so there has been no overall population growth there.

The cost of the war in China has been extreme. The MK's population has shrunk by 2%, while the RRC's population has shrunk by 5%.

Everyone else grows by 2%


Economic Impact of the Rift War:

Notice to all players:

For every 2,000 GRT (or portion thereof) of merchant shipping lost by your nation in the Second Rift War or related incidents, subtract $0.5 from your national income in 1/20, and $0.25 in 2/20.  This reflects lost products and commodities aboard those ships, and higher shipping costs in a tighter market.  These costs will only apply to 1920.

Italian, DKB, French, and Colombian colonies with only Rift Sea marine access should subtract a further 10% of their income in 1/20 to reflect disruption and re-routing of shipping carrying imports and exports.  

Orange, Ottomans, and Egypt will take a flat 1% hit to their income in 1/20 to reflect the same disruption of Rift and Red Sea shipping.


Italia Lost 33,200 tons of Shipping and received 21,650 Tons of captured New Swiss Shipping.   This is a Net Loss of 11,500 Tons of Merchant Shipping. Lost Income of $2.87 In HY1 1920 and $1.44 in HY2 1920.

France Lost 33,500 Tons of Shipping and received 14,350 Tons of captured New Swiss Shipping.  This is a Net Loss of 18,800 tons of shipping.  Lost Income of $4.71 in HY1 1920 and $2.36 in HY2 1920.

DKB lost 19,900 tons of shipping and received 12,950 tons of New Swiss Shipping.   This is a net loss of 6,950 tons of shipping.  Lost Income of $1.74 in HY1 1920 and $.87 in HY2 1920.

Hapsburgs lost 2600 tons of shipping and received 1,050 tons of captured New Swiss Shipping.  This is a net loss of 1550 tons of shipping.  Lost Income of $.39 in HY1 1920 and $.19 in HY2 1920.

New Switzerland lost 69,000 Tons of shipping and captured 15,000 Tons of Allied Merchant Shipping.  This is a net loss of 54,000 tons of shipping.  Lost income of $13.5 in HY1 1920 and $6.75 in HY2 1920.

CSA Lost 6,000 Tons of Merchant shipping.  Lost Income of $1.5 In HY1 1920 and $.75 in HY2 1920.

Gran Columbia lost 3,000 tons of merchant shipping.  Lost Income of $1.25 in HY1 1920 and $.63 in HY2 1920.

Iberia lost 5,000 tons of Shipping.  Lost Income of $1.25 in HY1 1920 and $.63 in HY2 1920.

UNK lost 15,000 tons of shipping.  Lost Income of $3.75 in HY1 1920 and $1.88 in HY2 1920.

In addition Egypt, The Republic of Orange and the Ottoman Empirelose 1% of their Total Income in HY1 1920.

Italia:  All Colonies Surrounding the Rift -10% Income in HY1 1920
DKB:  All Colonies on the Rift Sea -10% Income HY1 1920.

The Economic Impact of the Chinese Civil War:

Japan:  Manchuria, Korea, Okinawa, Taiwan, and Hainan all -10% Income for HY1 1920.

DKB:  Nord Indochina -10% Income for HY1 1920, Other DKB Territory in Pacific 1%

Iberia: Philippines -7.5% Income for HY1 1920

Republic of Indochina: -10% Income for HY1 1920

Kingdom of Siam: -5% Income for HY1 1920

Kingdom of Burma: -2% Income

Netherlands:  Dutch East Indies -3% Income in HY1 1920

New Switzerland:  Islands -1% in HY1 1920.

RRC:  5.5 IC Destroyed, 1.5 IC Damaged, .5 BP Destroyed, .5 BP Damaged.
   -10% Income, and loss of 26,400 GRT of shipping for a lost income of
   $6.6 in HY1 1920 and $3.3 in HY2 1920.

MK:  3.5 IC Destroyed, 8.5 IC Damaged, .5 BP Destroyed, 1.5 BP Damaged.
   -10% Income and loss of 22,600 GRT of Shipping for a lost income of
   $5.65 in HY1 1920 and $2.83 in HY2 1920.
