I am going to pick up some Dry Ice today to do some experiments with the kids tonight.  I am looking for suggestions for things to add to my list.  I have the following planned out.

1) Dry Ice Fog, the classic of dropping Dry Ice into warm water to make fog.
2) Dry Ice bubbles, warm soapy water and drop the dry ice inside it, watch the bubbles grow
3) Take a few chips of Dry Ice, drop them in a balloon, tie it off and drop balloon in water, watch the balloon grow.
4) Take a hot spoon and place it against the dry ice, listen to the hissing noise as the dry ice sublimates.
5) Put candle on something that floats and put it in the bucket with warm water.  Then drop in the dry ice.  Watch the fog put out the candle.
6) Put stuff like a flower or whatever between some blocks of dry ice to freeze them; want to try to shatter them.
7) have the dry ice sitting in something for a bit and allow to warm, then let the kids blow bubbles over it and watch the bubbles float on the dry ice (CO2 is denser than general air so the bubbles will float while they last.)  Any bubbles that land on the dry ice might freeze.

Any thoughts?

Dry ice bomb, put some dry ice in a two liter bottle, close bottle, and go far far far far away. Watch bottle explode. Might also be possible to make a dry ice rocket like the water bottle rockets.

dancing quarter is a fun one. make a small grove in a piece of dry ice then stick a quarter in it. It starts "dancing" due to the escaping gas
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
