Current paint schemes of the Irish Navy
Current Wartime paint scheme

This scheme is painted on all Irish warships during a time of war except those ships that operate primarily at night.

Current Night Combatant paint scheme

This scheme is used on Irish warships that operate mainly at night instead of the general wartime scheme.

Current Peacetime paint scheme

When not engaged in combat operations, all Irish naval vessels wear this scheme except for those serving on official diplomatic missions.

Current Diplomatic Operations paint scheme

Any Irish navy ship that serves as an official diplomatic transport or escorts an official transport uses this paint scheme for the duration of its service with the operation. The scheme may also be used during official fleet or state functions were a warship is present.

On the bow of each ship is the pennant number of that ship. This is represented by the 00 on each of the drawings.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when solider lads march by
Sneak home and pray that you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
