A reminder about research, research rolls, and reports:

The Mods must roll your research rolls for you. After you have completed the 4th or 5th half of research on a normal tech, or the 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th half of researching a double time tech or researching a normal tech in secret, you may request a roll. A request should be submitted via a pm to one or (better yet) all the mods. A good request might look like this:

Quote
Hi oh great and powerful moderators. If it is not too much of an imposition, might I grovel at your feet for a while so that you may, in your benevolent wisdom, see fit to roll the following tech rolls for me? Please don't punish me for my childlike insolence, I beg you!

1918 Mine Warfare 4th half
1915 Submarines 5th half
1905 Radar 9th half

We'll reply by telling you which if any have succeeded.

Please note that after the 6th half for a normal tech, or the 12th half for a secretly researched tech or a double-time tech, the tech is complete, so no roll after those halves would be necessary.

When integrating someone else's tech, no rolling in necessary. Please make note in your reports where you note your research for that half from which nation you acquired that tech. If you prefer to keep that information secret (which is your right), note in the report that the originator is "undisclosed" and then please PM the mods with that information instead, so that we can keep track.

Also take note of this blurb from the rules:
Quote
You cannot skip technologies by tech transfer, e.g. researching right away the 1909 Ship propulsion technology after you bought the license, when you do not even have the 1905 technology. You have to get that technology first - and that would take only a year to finish.

and this one:

Quote
REMEMBER - TECHNOLOGY BECOMES AVAILABLE IN THE FIRST HALF YEAR AFTER SUCCESS IN RESEARCH (OR COMPLETING DIGESTION)

Finally: research integrated from another nation totally in secret (in other words, not only is the originator of that tech kept secret, but so is the very fact that you are integrating it) takes twice as long as normal to integrate it, or in other words, 4 halves for a normal tech, or 8 halves for a double time tech.

Failure to comply with the research rules my result in moderator inflicted incidents which might include key researchers being hit by busses at inopportune moments.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.  :D
