Me thinks yee people complain too much.

Hasn't been less than 110 F around here for most of the month. Dropped to the 90s today and boy was it feeling cool.  Almost got my jacket out.

I can help you Rock, I must save Paul, in Germany.

You know who is Paul ? No ? It's a fabulous octopus. He would bring back a lot of money in bets.

We had a fellow work here that had done roofing in Arizona, felt the same way about heat, wore his jacket all the time.  He didn't hack it here at all- too cold. Me, I make it an office day when it's threatening to be 90+ inland. No point in going to the field, I just melt.  On the other hand I rather like it when the field temperatures get down into the 40s and 50s as I can actually work without overheating.  :)

Yes indeed.
The last week was way too hot, up to 37 °C on Friday. On Monday we had ~25 degree C and I felt cold, but I hadn't taken a jacket with me. In the end, I actually caught a light cold...
And today it's too hot again (I don't like having 26 °C in my room at 8 o'clock in the morning) and it will get even hotter in the near future.

Ah that Paul ;D
Yes he's fabulous. He correctly predicted the outcome of all 5(?) German soccer games. It's kind of funny considering the chance to do so was less than 3.125%.

According to wiki, he predicted 9 out of 10 games of the Internationalelf - he thought the Germans would win the Euro 2008 final in Vienna (Spain-Germany). I guess octopus stew will be a pretty popular dish this summer.

ROFFL... Guinness and I both know that you haven't lived till both the mercury and humidity are above 90.

Lucky! Projected high, 98; projected humidity, 94%.

I think I've lived....:)

Guinness

Breaking news: Octopus picks Spain. Sorry Walter.

Hottest I've ever been: 1999. Fourth of July on the National Mall in DC. 105F, 50% Humidity, Heat Index:  134F. It was too hot to do anything, really. We eventually gave up and camped out at the first bar we could find that had air conditioning. I've never been so hot at any time in Georgia, even at football camp down by Albany, as I was that day.

Tex: where in Texas are you again? FYI: 98F with 94% humidity would mean a heat index of 170F...

TexanCowboy

170F? The heat index is about 123F....

Houston area, there abouts. A little south of Houston......

Guinness

For your heat index calculating pleasure:

Houston today is forecasting 90F with a humidity of 61%. That works out to be a heat index of 100F.

TexanCowboy

Heh....maybe the people on the news messed up....

Anyways, I leave for 75 degree New Mexico, so... ;)
