The port city was waking up from the night people were going on there bisnes,the war was far away.In the morning light a fleet of powerfull warship was cleary sean
Grey hulls with a pround White crownless eagle prominently displayed on the bows.The men on bourd those ships did not know why are they hire other that the fact that the instrument that they were was to be used on the ones they leaders viewed as the enemy.Crews of those ship know that they may never get home too there loveones but that did not mather to them at that moment ,they were here ,they were ready ,this moment was all they wery exsistence centerd apone they were proud desendance of once proud navy, from this day foward there actions will speak for them.There war banner was flying over there heads and frames of those men-of-war were comunicating to all who see'em that the die is cast.

With the cease fire oure sailors have lots of free time visits to the port city and visits by both

the secondery weapons on oure ships is as large the main connons on chinese biggest ships.

One of the Chinese junior officer visiting oure flagship, give us a sort interview its translation isnt perfect but its
accuret, it gives us the general idea of what he was saying.
"Your ships are impresive your torpedobats are twice as large as oures,your battleships are also bigger and much faster
Your cruisers look better that the cruiser I have seen use by the devils.I my self work on the main guns
of a battleship (censored) and your guns put oure too shame.Your optics are wery advanced but preaty simple
in desing.Your engines are bigger and more powerfull."
All in all he sea that he like the (censored) as a powerfull and modern ship.
Oure sailor were supprised in turn by the chinese designs,here is the statment by (censored) an officer
that visited chinese battleship (censored) and torpedobout (censored).

excersizes with Middle Kingdom fleet.

Captain de la Cruise was in on the brige.
Cruise was thinking about the recent turn of events just two monght ago he was the 2IC of a cruiser in the godforsaken Salomons and now he bacome acting Sqadron Captain he commanded a sqadron of newest cruiser in the fleet 3 Lobos.
When the naval attache of Spainsh ambasady proroche him he was certain the a court marshal will be his death and what happend?
Grand Admiral the supreme comander in the pacific put him in the position of Sqadron Captain.He was the highest ranking officer that survived the battle of rustbucket , the only men that fought the N.Swiss.
His number one broght from his contemplation "Ships on the horizont"the man reported.
Cruise loked trou his binoculars 3 ship 2 marchant 1 liners.No escort well too bad for them.
"Battle stations"order the young officer
The cruisers accelereted there pace and closed to there pray.
"Signal all ships target the merchant the liner is not too be attacked its most certanly carries refuges"Cruise ordered and looked how his small fleet made a simutanious 90 degrese turn.
There Prey spotted them and started too turn away from them but they had no chance to escape.
"Sir were have closed to 5 km"

Soon water fountain were starting erupting around the freighters Cruise counted one hit not bad hit with first salvo.

His ship soon obeyed the order and formend a column now thre cruiser were firing full bourd sides at the freigthers.A fountain of water erupted close to his ship.One of that freighters is armed that didnt suprised him what did suprised him that it was only one of the freighters that had a cannon on bourd.
20 minuts latter two enemy merchant war in the Davy Jones locker the liner was undameged.

Palayo the flagship of People empire formerly knowed as Spain was cruising alone betwin the island of Fuga and Luzon.
Crew was relaxed as relaxed as a crew can be on a warship that was in the middle of a warzone.But Palayo was a powerfull ship top of the line Battleship only ships in the New Swiss anvy that were able to put a dent in it were the Constitutions and there were reported not pesent in the area.
The the look out on the crows nest yeald.
"Warship on 3 o'clock"
The captain put a binoculars to his eye"Wys Class"he sead to no one in particular"Battle stations! full speed! Give chase!"
"Battle stations! full speed! Give chase!"yeald the 2IC
"Battle stations! full speed! Give chase!"yeald some officer furter down.
The mamut of a ship turned to starbourd puttinig the Wys at 12 o'clock.
The destroyer turn also trying to make as much distance from the Man-o-war.
The 200 ton hydraulic power with steam pumps as prime movers ,pinted the turrents
on the enemy.
Inside of the turrent barbete a 240kg granade was put in the elevator, it ride 5 meters up and was put on the loading mechanisms tray.The shell was rammed in the Breech two slik bags followed suit.The sliding "wedge" style breech closed the gun.
The gun started elevating from 5 degrees loading angle.

The renge fingers position on top of the front superstructure.
The men operating the 2 meters wide range finder was working his optics.Althou
Armada at one time had the best guns and shells in the world they were use lest if the optics targeting those guns were not up to the task.

Targeting a rather small target at the renge of over 10 km was not an easy feat espesialy when one had only two guns to get the range.
The gun crew was experienced and effitient at what they did, a shoot was fired every 30 seconds.

The rangefinder operator was chaking the read out agein 12000meter no on ever hit anything at this renge that atlanta isnt firing eaven they saving there ammunition.This is pointless"muter the operator under his nose.
Just as he finished something he wasnt expecting happend the DD went boom.
One of the 280mm shells must have hit her,no not shell a grenade a 250 kg HE projectile hit the frigile weasle an it camed apart under the exposion.
The crew was quiat for a moment then all started yealing a vicorious cry.
Grand Admiral finaly arived at the brige.
"Report"he order not knowing what have happend.
"Sir we spoted a Swiss Destroyer and have chase we hit the target at the renge over 12km I belive its the new record"
"What at 120 hectometers?"Asked the admiral.
"yes sir"replayed the captain pride was radiationg from every point of his being."I belive we are victorious"he added
"Rescue operation?"
"I dont think there is any one to rescue the ship just came apart"Sead the captin"But we will look nontheless"
"Good. Ill be in my qourter"

OOC:I just wanted to write a story about the inner working of a battleshipo of the era and one that my Grand Admiral acualy maneged to win.
I wanted to use a DD as a target so the actual battle will be short.

All of armada personel will return to People's Empire teritory.

Armada losses:
one cruiser Versile struck a mine in malina
20 small craft

New Swiss fleet losses
one Wys class destroyer sunk by gunfire from battleship Palayo

Empire's Army
5000 men died taken and captive

News Swiss army about 4000 I think

Land lost Island Guam and Swiss forces occupide a number of smaller islands in the Salomons.

1 Fritz class DD (gunfire, Guam)
1 Armed Merchant Cruiser (gunfire, Taipei)
4 Auxilary Gunboats
misc TBs

Unfortunately you cant sink a Wys class DD because all mine are damaged in Phoenix. But you can substitute an Aux GB for the story.


Maddox should know better but I think NS also got the Palaus.

An Atlanta would work, only problem story wise, is that the Atlantas are 3,000 ton protected cruisers with a good armored deck. Its going to be hard to cut one in half with a 11" shell. Thats why I proposed a Aux GB would be better.
