Day of Sadness for Norman America

Today, March 31st it is the sad duty of this paper to report the early demise of Prince Pascal Sauvage. On the 29th of March, while fishing on the egde of lake Ontario, The Prince spotted a coaster that had obviously sailed from the French Canadian side of the lake, and was offloading some sort of cargo.

The Prince was foolish enough to go and investigate, with only his personal bodyguard of 2 men. As the Prince approached, the men on the coaster spotted him, they drew out guns, and began to fire upon the group. The prince was hit in the chest, and was carried off by one of the guard, while the other covered them.

While the wounds didn't kill the Prince he died this morning in hospital, his son, and new heir to the throne Prince Stephen, at his bedside. The King was said to be unable to cover his grief.

The men on the coaster are belived to be members of a gang of theives who are becoming more prollific in the Northern counties, and may be involved in smuggling. though when the King's Cavalry arrived nothing and no one could be found.

(OOC: Have been planning this since I started, and now seemed the right time)

Bad time to be a ruler. That makes it three.

My condolences to the Prince, and The Kaiser, and the King of Essaliyen.

I guess that means the King of Rohan is safe now to go to war.

Rohan sends its regards to the Norman King. A parent sould not have to bury their child. Hopefully it was only smugglers and not anything worse.

Following the 'bad things come in threes' line of reasoning?

Condoleances from France to the United Kingdom of America.
The Gouverner of French Canada has asked for a minute silence on the day of the Burial of the Crown prince.

Following this gruesome news, Mounted Gendarmes-Mounties- will be send out to find further evidence of these criminals.
France will send more patrols on the shores of the Great Lakes.

Our naval headquarters in French Canada sends hereby a invitiation to the UKA naval headquarters to discus joint patrols.
