The exercise in Hessen turned out quite successful under the leadership of Crown prince Rupprecht of Bavaria, perhaps the most able army officer in the Leipzig alliance, which firm and capable command ensured that the "twinks" from the exercise in Pommerania was worked out, the next exercise will take place in mountainous terrain in Hærjedalen in Scandinavia and will also consist of a large group of Bavarian mountain troops along with the Esc marines.

The third exercise in the rough and mountainous terrain of Hærjedalen is concluded under much difficulty, but despite the difficulties it is deemed as a partial success as the cooperation between the mountain troops and the marines were excellent.

Today under the debate in parliament, the Esc reaffirmed its support for Eire and pledged to help the Irish Free State with further technologic aid and at the same time the prime minister with consent from rest of parliament ordered the general election, which has been postponed during the Dutch –Siamese crises to take place in the fall of 1917.

The last of the series of exercises in Silesia is concluded, led by a joint staff with Herzog Heinrich of Mecklenburg as CIC and Crown prince Rupprecht as chief of staff and for the first time in more than a decade the majority of the army is put in reserve, with only 1 corps and the Marines in Wartime stance.
