The Caliph Speaks

His Holiness the Caliph announces that the Navy is in a state of maximum preparedness lest the warmongering New Swiss decide to start a war of aggression against our allies the French. All ships have been activated. In addition to the squadron already stationed in Firanj, consisting of the battleships Bawiti, Khaybar, Abraq; the armored cruiser Kebili; the protected cruisers Gharyan, Hassi; the gunboat Nafud, and the torpedo boats Nos. 1-6, his Majesty's Grand Fleet is sailing from Alexandria, escorting many dozens of transports loaded with an Infantry Corps, their destination to be Firanj. This fleet consists of:

BB: Khufrah, Dumyat, Aziziyah, Awjilah, Quseir
AC: Burayqah, Mal'awiya, Bardai, Jawf

They are to recoal at Soqotra, where they will join a small squadron of French gunboats, and from there proceed onwards to Firanj.

We sincerely hope that the New Swiss do not either interfere with the voyage, or persist in their foolish attempts to provoke the power of France.

Soqotra is the RL island of Socotra, a little ways off of the coast of Yemen, and currently owned by that nation.

Firanj is the (pseudo) Arabic term that I have been using for Western Australia and its capital (location, RL Perth).

OOC: Well if the Great War does comes Rohan and the Anahuac will be done with it first, as I image we will be spent before the rest of you finish your engagements. So don't make too many plans for these two powers to help you too much....on any side.

We shall see however. Always in motion is the future. Perhaps this one will be resolved, but setup the sides for the next time the blood starts to boil.

The Mughal Empire might want to make a comment on this situation as these Caliphate Warships will be passing near their waters.
