An Intreview with Mr. Andresyvan by Mr. Charles Berlitz
April 1st 1899
(coming soon)

Phoenix, late as usual
April 5th 1899

Two months after leaving Walvis Bay, Phoenix arrived in Liberia. There are reports that Phoenix and her consorts stoped in Nigeria. Reason? Unknown. Again the Goverment denies this and claims that engine problems have slowed them down. The next stop is expected to be Lisbon, Portugal. Date of Arrival, May 1928.

Unrest in Central Australia
May 5th 1899

There are reports of unrest in French Australia. Settlers are unhappy with French rule. This situation is aggravated by French agents. A unit of the 1st Des Cav Div was attacked during its patrol. The unit suffered 5 casualties while toroughly routing the attackers. The leader of this group was a French spy. The attackers were armed with French weapons, and are apperantly the same who attacked our German friends.

Navy News
May 17th 1899

The Navy has announced an extensive training program to improve ship to shore gunnery. Resent results being downright deppressing.

An Intreview with Mr. Andresyvan by Mr. Charles Berlitz
April 1st 1899

Mr Berlitz: Good morning Mr Andresyvan.
Mr Andresyvan: Good morning.
Blz: So your a theorist? What does a theorist do?
Ady: Well for example. Did you know that the Swiss, German, Dutch alliance is a French plot?
Blz: What alliance? I havent heard of anything.
Ady: Its April 1st my friend. Well thats what I do, think up ideas.
Blz: Hahah good one. Well what are your thougths on the mystery ship?
Ady: First the dynamite guns, explosion, etc are all a cover story.
Blz: Your saying that the explosion never happened?
Ady: Exacly. There were no casualties, and the goverment never aknowlleged it.
Blz: Your daughter is CICHF and your son is in the Naval Research Institute. Have they told you anything?
Ady: No. They're too well trained to do that. But some clues have come from there.
Blz: So what is this ship?
Ady: Ive come to the conclusion that the ship employs a new form of weapon. A death ray.
Blz: You mean like the one in Wells' book?
Ady: Exacly. Did you know that Wells visited the Naval Institute while writing his book?
Blz: I didn't know that.
Ady: Also the original unreleased version had a more detailed description of the Death Ray.
Blz: So how does this weapon work?
Ady: Do you know what's a Crooke's tube?
Blz: Yes

Well continue this program after some commercials.
Do you want to see the world? Feel like being a hero? Well what are you waiting for join the New Switzerland Navy. And pleases ignore this interview. It is nothing but lies.
This commercial paid for by the NSN Recruiting Office.

Ady: This weapon uses an enlarged version to send out a very powerful ray. This ray packs alot of energy.
Blz: How powerful is it?
Ady: The first version is capable of penetrating 6" of armor at 6,000 yards.
Blz: How about its accuracy?
Ady: It is extremly accurate.
Blz: So your talking about a totaly revolutionary weapon capable of making all warships obsolete?
Ady: Not only warships, it can also be used against troops.
Blz: So what other clues are there?
Ady: First, the Goverment has ordered a large amount of Uranium ore. The ore is neccesary in the weapons manufacture. Second, My son has been studing Roegen's works. As you now Roegen is an expert in X-rays.
Blz: So you actually think the Navy has built an actual Death Ray?
Ady: I think so.
Blz: Well thank you Mr Andresyvan for being with us today.
Ady: Your welcome.
Blz: If you happen to get any more information feel free to visit us again.
Ady: OK

And that my friends was an interview with Mr Andresyvan. See you next time.

Hmmm. Well the counter for that would be submarines, or flying machines, as I doubt those things are easy to aim with all those heavy metals.

Are you expecting a giant biped lizard by any chance?

You seem to be having gunnery problems and difficulty with your steam turbines. While Rohan is currently engaged in a war, after that ends...should Swiss-Rohirrim relations remain cordial, we might have something to talk about in terms of improved gunnery and notes on steam engines, as Rohan is currently working on beginning a new steam turbine powered destroyer/cruiser design.

As for your troubles in Australia, your German and Dutch neighbors might be better suited to assist at this time, since France seems to have written the area off. I don't know if your Muslim friends will assist you or not, having not heard much from them of late. Perhaps....perhaps after the war, Rohan will have some experianced soldiers that they might export to other nations, but Rohan's current international position is more localized in scope, and only trade relations and non-agression seem to interest the Court of Theocro King outside of the "Americas".

????? I dont have any problems with turbines that I know of. But I do have 6 Destroyers with unreliable turbines.

On the Australian front, keep an eye on the news something very interesting is coming up. "wink"

One hopes Mr. Andreyasn is misguided or scaremongering. If not then we have a problem.

In any event, the Death Ray won't work as claimed. Any X-Rays produced will pass straight through the reflector, back at the target ship - and its' crew.
