Kronshtadt, April, 1
The Practical squadron of the Baltic fleet went today to the training voyage around the Baltic fleet from the training base of the Russian Navy in Kronshtadt. During the voyage, the Squadron will visit Helsingfors, Revel, Libava, Dansing, Svinemunde, Kiel, Oslo, Goeteborg, Stockholm and will be back to Kronshtadt 1st of May, 1899.
The crews of the Squadron's ships are consists of newly hired seamen and Gardemarines, which will have examination during the voyage.
New ships will test their battle characteristics: they will have minelaying, minecarrying, gunnery exercises and execute maneuring programs.

Shipowners united to go overseas
Libava, April, 15
The "Finnish steamship Co.", "St.Peterburg – Helsinki Line", and "Libava cargo" steamship companies declared their merger. The new company will be named "Russian Transseas line" with the main base in Libava and it will be the third great shipgoing company after "Vostochno-Aziatskaya Company" and "Dobrovolny flot Company".

Navy Minister Replaced
St. Peterburg, 1st of May
The new minister of Navy – Fedor Vrangel — was appointed last Monday. He will replace Alexey Butakov on that post.
Fedor Vrangel – admiral of the fleet begin his career in the Baltic fleet corvette squiadron in 1867 as the General officer of the cleaper "Pitsunda". Later he became the capitan of that ship and after it he became the commander of the Corvette squadron. In 1889 he came to the Navy ministry as the director of the tactic division and later he became the vice-minister of the Ministry.

We Need a Ship!
Libava, 15 of May
The "Russian Transseas Line" announces a contest to the best ocean-going passenger-cargo ship for the company.
The ship must be no longer then 190 meters with 7 – 7,5 meters draught and have displacement no higher then 10000 t. She might be capable to take 350 passengers and 4500 of cargo at once and have a range of 12000 miles on 15 knots.
All shipbuilding companies of the world are welcome to take part at the competition.

Treaty Trusted, Agreements Announced
Copenhagen, 25 of May
The Non-Agression treaty between The Baltic Confederation and the Russian Empire was prolonged to the next 10 years period yesterday. Herold Lingred, the Confederation Minister of the Foreign affairs told to Vedomosti, that the text of the Treaty was not changed, but some new agreements between the countries expected.
Alexander Muraviev, Russian Minister of the Foreing affairs add that those agreements concerns shipbuilding, heavy metallurgy and agricultural industries.

Baltic State will buy Russian Ships
Copenhagen, 12 of June
The Baltic Confederation will buy 10 universal minecrafts of T1 project from Russia. It was announced today at the summit of the Navy Ministers of Russia, The Baltic Confideration, Portugalia and Romania.
Minecrafts of the T1 project are ships of the special building. They have displacement of 200 ton, cruising speed 12 knots. The ship carry 30 mines, 2 sweeps and 2 x 75 mm guns.

Training travel
Sevastopol, 25 of June
Black Sea fleet went to training cruise yesterday. The fleet will travel around the Black sea and visit most of its ports. There will be a special ceremony of honour in Istanbul, when the Ottoman and Russian squadrons will met and gave a salute to each other.
