Valdimir Illyich Lenin looked around the room. Surrouding him were 50 of his loyal men, fellow communists as was him. He began to speak.

"Comrade, it is time. Time for us to free our oppressed brethren from the daily torment of their masters in the fields and in the factories. Time for us to eliminate the stench of the arisctocrat and the monarchs. Time for us to free our brother Bolsheviks from the dunguns of the king and eliminate his rich minions. And we shall begin this task now."

The men filed out of the building into the courtyard, where they grabbed their weapons. All of the men had M1898 Mausers, except for 1 man, who had a SIG Mondragon. They all had a red ribbon around them, and were painted a camoflage red, meant to blend into the clay and roads of the countryside. The men got into their red uniforms, all camo, and placed on their militeristic hats. Then, they all mounted chestnut horses, and rode to the south, toward Varna.

Most Interesting. New Zion is a Socialist Monarchy and the New Switzerland upheval has some communist tones to it. Both countries could be sources for military supplies for the Bolsheviks.

I could modify that, if you wish, but this plays along with a secert plan I have.....  :-X. Beside, as Lenin was in exile in Switzerland in OTL, Baravia is the closest we can get.

Very interesting but beware...  Commies aren't popular with some nations like the Hapsburgs.

You might find these two items useful on the Iberian point of view as of 1916.

If you do a forum search you should find some old posts from about 10 or 13 years ago game time about a communist revolution and counter revolution in Spain / Portugal.

Have fun with your story!

Bavaria is more than willing for Lenin to be somewhere outside it's borders. In fact, I'm sure we encouraged it.

The Marxist theories are not popular with either house of the Bavarian Government, the Cabinet or the King.

And we are not very scrupulous as to where our Mausers and Mondragons get exported to as long as the paperwork and monetary units are good.

Though Miketr's warning is valid

Did they play the fife lowly,
Did they sound the death march, as they lowered you down,
Did the band play the last post and chorus,
Did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

The Mondragon is a New Swiss weapon...

Here is an example of something from the time period I was talking about.

Neither is it in the RRC, you see its run by the Chiang Kai-shek and he doesn't quite like communists. Unfortunately for you, but fortunately for my economy, Mao quite come upon the stage yet. Although we are looked upon as a communist nation we hate communists as much as anyone else - how cruel the irony.

I tried to avoid stuff like this. It's one of the reason I specifically asked about which companies and individuals got poached from Bavaria. SIG wasn't one of the ones mentioned AFAIK, so I didn't worry about the Mondragon. Apparently Bavaria has also come up with a version.

SIG wasn't stolen, the Mondragon Rifle was. The Mondragon was not an SIG weapon but a Mexican one. It was built by SIG when no other company was willing to do so.

About halfway along the road, they joined up with another Communist group of 50 men, led by Leon Trotsky. They had been scouting the land for weeks, and had a company of Romania calvary in pursuit. Lenin bit his lip. Their only chance out was to seize a naval ship at the port in Varna and escape.

"Comrades, we have been noted and have a full company of calvary in pursuit. We have no choice but to capture a ship in Varna and escape. But to our brothers and brethren in the fields and factory, I say this, 'We will return.'"

The men then hear the sound of calvary in the distance. They knew what they must do. They hopped on their horses and set out at a gallop to Varna.

Unknown to them, the flagship Elisaveti had just arrived in port, and landed at one of the docks. Half the crew left the boat on shore leave, while all but ten of the others headed to the shore quarters. The stage was set for the beginning of the SRC.
