 12 April

The Admiralty announced today that the second cruiser of the "Ersatz 'K'" type has been cancelled, and design work on the "Linienschiffen 1900" project has been halted.

These actions are in response to the Rohan-Anahuac War; the Kreigsmarine wishes to observe and see what lessons can be learned from the conflict, and not face the risk of being "locked in" to potentially inferior designs.

18 April

Recruitment for the "Legion Kondor" has exceeded expectations. Reportedly enough men have voluenteered to fight against the Anahuac to fill two divisions, and they are still signing up.

The Heer has granted use of its facilities for training, and rumours are that the LK will also be receiving arms from the government...

Another incident in the Reich's Australian territories, as a Heer patrol in the interior part of the country was ambushed by an irregular force. No further details have been released.

8 May

The first division of the Legion Kondor departed today aboard the liner Imperator for Central America, to fight for the Rohrrim against the Anahuac.

It is said that the Kaiser is considering purchasing the services of the second LK division himself, to help police the new Australian territories of the Reich, the addition of which has strained the resources of the Heer.

30 June

There was an explosion at the Naval Research Institute this morning. Reportedly a number of scientists were lost in the blast, which came only an hour after a visit by Hochseeflotte admirals...

Well with a war on, expect BOOMs, and other such things. All I can say is that the King will need to have some of his friends from the Haven come and speak to Rohan's steel industry. I think its the Shoshone that do things with honey and anthills out in the desert....

Short answer: it's a situation similar to that of the AVG in OTL.

Slightly longer answer: they're mercenaries who have received some aid in traning from the Heer.

Chances of a German division holding land in Central America for long....less then 1%. Not with so many local corps in the area anyway. However post war is still largely an unknown...as are the particulars of the land campaigns.

I'm sure the "Legion Kondor" will make an impact somewhere in the fighting.

As for the KABOOMS in the Americas....At least Rohan's gun development seems to be working with the successful test firing of the 14 inch 42 caliber rifle. But the other KABOOM was the death of the Coastal Battleship Balin...probably the largest loss in the war so far.

The "Legion Kondor" would arrive sometime in June I image. They will likely be attached to the Army of Rohan after assisting the Army of New Beleriand between Hama and Nevrast.
