With all these non-agression treaties and the intervention in Australia, it seems like Russia wants to be the world's policeman...

In an age without Great Britian, and France being sort of laid back in its approach to the world of late...I guess Russia sees this as an opportunity to gain a world standing?

Yes, I think the Pacific is going to be hot soon. Either between the Western Islands and Coastal Powers over Australia, or for the Eastern Coastal Powers over Central America. Diplomacy might stop the problems in Australia for a time, even with Russian troops on French soil to protect it from an international "land grab". However, I don't think anything can stop the fire that comes from Central America.

Note: Russian Troops in Australia & Pacific Islands violates Article II, Part 1 of the Russian-NS Non Agression Treaty.

Question: Where exacly did Russian troops land in Australia?

More information will be provided in News.

I think the English refer to that situation as a "sticky wicket"

Well...best of luck out on the far side of the world....Rohan has its own problems, though we do hope our fleet of large, heavily armed warships will make any European, African, or Asian Power think twice about "land grabbing" in this hemisphere, or interferring in local matters directly without being asked.

(On an odd note: I just noticed I seem to be the one talking the most. I'm not sure why this is. Perhaps I think I have an opinion on everything, or I get bored the quickest and feel I must to somethine to keep busy...but I seem to have posted to most here for some unknown reason.)

To Desertfox: Russian Troops occupied a Northern australia in borders of the towns listed here: Borrolula, Larrima, Overn, Kilderk, Danmarra, Wave-Hill, Castle-Waters, Banka-Banka, Alice-Springs, Tobermori, Te-Granits, Gordon-Downs. See the attached map.

Our intervention doesn not violate Article 2, Part I of Ru-NS treaty, because territories which were occupyed belongs to France, and our troops, allied to French has temporary mission of prevention further land grabbing by any other nation.

To swamphen: see here

To Ithekro: it's ok, there should be some person to comment the situation and its picularities wink.gif

To RLBH: Here should be the policemen. So if France could't prevent robbery and louting, Russia will prevent.

Folks:

The Australian situation has gotten very interesting, and I haven't been able to respond to it due to other commitments. Kindly hold off on posting additional news on this topic so I can attempt to catch up and post a logical response to it all.
