July 1st;
After a month delay the armoured frigate HMS Antwerp, Sloops HMS

Java & HMS Celebes along with the collier HMS vanDorne departed Singapore

to show the falg in the DKB and New Swiss Australia. Port of calls will

include Rabual and Brandenburg in the DKB and Brisbane, Sydney and

Melbourne in Australia.


July 12;
In northeast Congo near the village of Isiro a military train

derailed, killing 74 men and injuring over 100. Witnesses reported hearing

a large explosion just before the derailment occured leading

investigators to believe that it was an act of sabotage. It is the largest
incident to date in Orientale Provence. Others being more in the line of

nuisance raids on small army out posts.

July 30th;
The Antwerp group departed Brandenburg today for Brisbane

Australia. There only minor incicents in both Rabual and Brandenburg a few

brawls between RN crews and DKB sailors. No serious injuries were

reported. The DKB navy is invited to return the vist at anytime.

August 15;
Her Majesty Queen Wilhemina and Prince-Consort Bartel departed

Amsterdam for the Congo. While there she will take part in a hunting

safari. The Royal couple plan on staying in the Congo for 2 to 3 weeks,

then returning home.

August 30;
The HMS Antwerp and group returned to Singapore today. The show

the flag cruise being considered a success. Apart from the few fights that

sailors get into on liberty the were no major problems. The Royal Navy

would like to thank the Governments of the Deutshes Kaiserreich

Brandenburg and New Switzerland for their hospitality.
And any bruises left behind.
