No.  August was done weeks ago.  You had ample time to post a sentence at that time.  Make it September, or stick with the "lost in the mail" story.

This sucks. This is turning out to be one hell of a war and I have to sit it out...

Well, Tan appears to be gone again...you could take NS back.

I agree that Desertfox should return to his one true home AND agree to sit out the war atleast till 1/1/1917.

BUT BUT! THAT WOULD TAKE ALL THE FUN OUT OF THIS SITUATION!

.... sorry I just had to type that in caps.

Well I do have a couple of free months. If you guys don't mind having NS become inactive afterwards, I could be around for the war. NS would have plenty of reasons to jump into the war and I do have a viable scenario for putting the people in power who would go to war.

If you guys want me to do it, I can do it.

I think we need a player for New Switzerland more than New Zion.  At the same time I suspect that Korpen went to war with the assumption that New Switzerland wouldn't react quickly or all that forcefully.  Metagaming or not makign New Switzerland active and having them declare war wouldn't be all that fair to Korpen.  I would suggest a pause for New Switzerland to continue to deal with internal stuff; this also gives Korpen a chance to cut some type of deal and get out of his little border war.

Of course I am not one of the mods so my opinion doesn't bind anything or anyone. ;)

Again I think we need an active New Switzerland more than New Zion...

Main reason that I think it would be unfair is that an active Swiss player would most likely change the starting point for this chain of events: The French supported Siamese provocations. If France would not have been involved there would have been other options open, but as France was involved immediate attack was the only realistic option of getting any say at all in events.

The Swiss do not have the military and economical weight or military might of France, so talks with Siam would have been an option.

Personally, I don't like people taking advantage of NPC status to wage war on weaker neighbors.

I do agree that if NS became involved it would take some time and require some sort of govermental change. The events that lead to this war would remain untouched.

And yes we do need an active NS, unfortunately school burns up most of my free time. Heck, Im even falling behind on New Zion and that requires a lot less work.

I very, very much agree, which is why I have done absolutely noting about Siam and was perfectly happy with a live and let live approach. However it seems other people that control Siam thought that it would be fun to start this mess (that is likely to take years in game).  >:(

The Burma issue would have served as a warning sign to Siam that the RRC was agressive and looking to expand.  It would make sense for them to look for a big power protector of some sort; they picked wrong in France as events showed.
