Firanjis population is almost wholly immigrants the only native peoples being the aboriginal population

When the Caliphate of Cairo originally founded the colony of firanji they where operating on a shoe string budget and so to get people to immigrant they maintained a no door immigration policy which is still mostly the case

This and the huge size of the lands made it on of the better places start a new life
As far as the government was concerned so long as taxes where paid and no crimes where committed in firanji there was little to be concerned for the reason for immigration

Not a lot has changed with the collapse of the Caliphate the result of this no door immigration policy is that there are wide variety of different groups with in the country

Firanjis government consists of a ruling emperor and an elected council


The emperor is normally appointed by his or her predecessor or in the case of the previous emperor dying with out a stated heir the next in line [oldest to youngest child assuming a of age child give or take other wise nearest relative]

The council is an elected body of headed by the emperor along with elected members who serve for a maximum of 2 teams of 3 years each per person
Minsters are appointed from the council by the emperor and may only serve as minsters whilst they hold a seat in the council
