Pick a solution please and just get this over with...

This said I favor a flat bonus and P3D's slidding bonus based on size looks fine.

Voted for "according to size". However, I do think that the over 750tons do not need a boost, so I would suggest 2kts for the 250ton or less and one knot for the 251-500ton DDs (with a improved fuel efficiency to match). Nothing major but it gives the smallest ships a bit of a push.

I don't see a need for change. As long as we are all using the same program we will end up with fair characteristics for our ships, compared to each other's.

Voted by my last proposal - which of course will be changed if people think 750-1000t ones should not get a raise.

SS may not be perfect, but at least it's a level field.
I say no change; if destroyers cannot keep up with the rest of the fleet, it might be an indication (however artificial) that the rest of the fleet might need to slow down... just to keep things in proportion. ;)

I have argued no change from the begining, are DDs broken Yes but they are broken for everyone.  This isnt Earth OTL this is the Nverse and we use the tools we have, thats just my opinion.

I could go for any change that boosts speed.

I realize that we are all on the same level, but its the relation of DDs to CLs to BCs that concerns me.  DDs already have a huge penalty in damage absorption. I think they need a speed boost to compensate (esp. the smaller ones).

DDs speed has been an issue since I came on board, and many solutions have been offered(every couple of months it has been brought up). All of them added 2 to 3 knts it seems. (including the dreaded transom stern button..  ::) ).

Any solution that gets us there works for me.

Now onto the NEDS issue....  ;D

We are not with the Washington Treaty constraints so, probably very fast cruisers, CLs, BCs are coming in the next years & in a great quantity.

We could imagine 34 or 36kts BC.

In this case a bonus speed for DDs could be appreciate.
& like I wrote early, we need big DDs technos.

???

We could also have a techno "Transom stern"

I am testing 1200t DD in 1930.
Without Transom stern, speed is 33.01kts - cross sectional = 0.50
With Transom stern, the speed is 34.59kts - cross sectional = 0.50

Transom stern could be the bonus reserved for all DDs (200t to 3000t)

I think the rules are fine. You can make DDs go faster, its not usually done because of seakeeping. Especially when you lose entire squadrons of DDs to cruisers because of that.

But you cannot make small destroyers run faster - i.e. anything approaching OTL speed.

Adding some speed for the smallest ones will not change balance or the SS baseline.
But looking at the suggested MTB tech it would remove the incentives for smaller SS torpedo boats, as you at best end with 60% more range for a ship 2,5 times larger. So a speed boost for the smallest ship would balance them against that tech.
